And the Winner is...

Tonight, Hollywood big shots will celebrate themselves during a ceremony of narcisstic praise and excruciating acceptance speeches and Joan Rivers. Personally, I cannot stand the whole Hollywood environment and persona. I dont dislike all actors, however the majority of them have lost all bearing on reality. In recent years, these award shows have become more than just celebritites getting awards for making dumb movies, they have become a political event ( Jon Stewart is hosting tonight if you want proof), so much so that I really cannot even stomach to watch them anymore. It's bad enough people like Reese Witherspoon get $29 million to make a single movie--yeah thats no typo, but now we have to listen to these people think they can solve the worlds problems. I hope Reese enjoys her cash and whatever she buys with the payout from her next bad movie while there are American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan dodging bullets and IED's making $30,000 a year. The only awards show I wanna see is an Oscar's for the military and bravery, the people who really deserve our praise and admiration. But the truth be told, they dont need it, nor want it, those men and women in uniform do their duty whether we acknowledge it or not, they dont do it for award shows, red carpets, or huge paychecks--simple as that. Thank God for them. Without their sacrafice these idiots in Cali wouldnt be able to run their big mouths while sacraficing absolutely nothing for the country they are so quick to condemn. Its a shame, it really is. I would love to make some predictions for tonights big show, however, since Wedding Crashers and War of the Worlds (the only movies I saw) were not really nominated for much, I feel I am unprepared for such an endeavor. I instead direct you to conservative columnist Ann Coulters predictions which are extremely objective and fair, just like most of Ann's opinions...enjoy!

Regarding the 29 million dollars that Reese Witherspoon gets...how do you explain the fact that contractors in Iraq get millions and millions of dollars compared the meezly 30 grand that the soldiers get?

You're mad at Reese Witherspoon and Hollywood that our soldiers are UNDERPAID AND UNDEREQUIPT!????!!?!!! Brad, are you completely off your rocker? You're blaming Hollywood? How about the conservative President that you admire with so much vigor? This is an abomination. You put Bush and his no-good cronies on a pedastool and you'll support anything he does, be it in the name of God or in the name of depriving people their basic civil liberties, but Reese Witherspoon getting money and Hollywood hosting an awards ceremony is what gets you riled up? Jon Stewart is the host of the show...he's a COMEDIAN!!! WHO CARES?

Calling them "dumb movies" is purely relative. You hate it, millions others like them. Also, upwards of 70-80 million people tune into the Oscars. The media is driven by revenues. It's a vicious cycle. And guess what, FoxNews is only in business to MAKE MONEY!!!!!!!

You're right about one thing--it's a truly great thing that we have soldiers who defend this country even with a lying, no-good redneck as our President.

Oh, and finally to Ann Coulter. She'd be almost good looking if she didn't have diarrhea of the mouth. In her summarization of the five best picture nominees of the movie, she says the following of "Munich": Jew athletes at Munich had it coming.

She states in the beginning of her nonsensical rant that she hasn't even seen any movie. Well, speaking for the millions of people who did see the movie, she couldn't be further from the truth. The most openly-Jewish comedian would take offense to that "joke" of Coulter's. Ann is borderline fascist. She's also homophobic to the Nth degree. Also she invoked the phrase "gaysians," an unprovoked insult to both Asians and Gays.

Unfortunately there is not a clever little hybrid phrase that comes to mind to describe Ann Coulter. She is simply a party-doll. I challenge you, Brad, to stop buying this crap that the GOPs put out. My blog is only a week old, so I haven't had an opportunity to knock on the Dems yet, but believe me I will. I don't buy the crap that comes out of Franken's mouth, out of Pelosi's mouth, out of Dean's mouth, out of Reid's mouth, out of Kerry's mouth or any of them. I sure as hell don't but the stuff out of Limbaugh's mouth, Coulter's mouth, and Hannity's mouth. Chris Matthews? Shove it. Keith Olbermann? He's funny. Jon Stewart? He's funny. Lou Dobbs? PATHETIC, and NO GOOD.

I don't think Hollywood is inherently good or anything like that--because I don't. I've literally seen Hollywood in action, I've got a good friend out in California who deals with these Hollywood people every day of his life because it's what he does. They're horrible money-and-power obsessed people.

Hey, that sounds a lot like the major politicians of today. And don't forget for one second that Bush could in fact find a little bit of extra change to throw the soldier's way--all he has to do is roll back the tax cuts on the richest 1% of America a fraction of what he's allowed them to pocket.

Don't blame Reese Witherspoon for Bush's ineptitude.
