President Bush Visits Buckeye State

President Bush was in the Cincinnati area recently to campaign for Senator Mike Dewine. The event was an invatation-only fundraiser for the Senator. Senate seats are extremely important to the President and the Republican Party, so you can bet that he will be here rather frequently to give Dewine the boost that will hopefully allow him to defeat his opponent congressman Sherrod Brown. Heres how the Cincy Post put it:
"Winning the race is important," said John McClelland, a spokesman for the Ohio Republican Party. "Its important for the state of Ohio, but its also important to maintaining our control over the Senate. Its vitally important to the Republican Party as a whole, so I think that's why you see the president coming to Ohio to support Mike Dewine."

Here is something interesting:

Tickets for the fund-raiser- a dinner and reception at the home of Margie and Mark Hauser- are $4,200 per person. People who agree to raise $10,000 for Dewine's re-election campaign will be able to attend a VIP reception with Bush and have their photograph taken with the President."

wow. Let's just hope all the money raised pays off in November, I'll bet the people who paid it sure do!
