HEY HUGO....F-YOU

Today at the United Nations, Hugo Chavez called President Bush 'the devil'. Here is what I want to know, why do we let this man come to our country anyway? I dont care if he was at the UN or not, he should not be in the United States of America. He is the enemy. Chavez has some sort of chip on his shoulder because he has oil in his country. Im not sure who he is trying to kid, but he does not scare anyone. If he makes one false move, he will be obliderated within a matter of minutes. His military is pathetic and wouldnt be able to stand up to us for a week.

I hope that every American politician, regardless of party, comes out and denounces these ridiculous comments. We should not have to put up with this kind of crap, and if we stand united against our enemies, like Chavez, we wont. Cindy Sheehan and Harry Belafonte should be proud of their best friend. Im almost positive they are gitty tonight at what Chavez said, which just proves how nutty those types of people are. I hope that Hugo Chavez is never allowed back within the United States, except to kiss George W. Bush's feet. I know thats not likely, but it sure would be a great picture.

MOVIN' ON UP

A new USA Today/Gallup poll is out today with very good news for Republicans. Its about time right? In this poll, President Bush's approval rating is up to 44%, with 51% disapproval. That is up alot over the past few weeks. I guess his speeches on the war are paying off, plus the anniversary of 9/11 will always help him.

Another important number in the poll is the generic congressional ballot. According to Gallup, the generic vote is now even between Republicans and Democrats. This is a crucial development as far as 2006 is concerned. I hope the president can continue to get his numbers up, because if so, I feel very confident the GOP will do just fine in November.

CLARETT'S GOIN TO JAIL

Never in my life have I seen a person lose as much as Maurice Clarett has over the past four years. The kid had the world at his disposal, with millions of dollars guarenteed to him as long as he just played football. Today, the guy is a disaters. For at least the next three and a half years, Clarett will be locked up because of his numerous run-ins with the law. Maybe, just maybe this stint in the clink will straighten him out, because if not, if he continues to lead this life, he will eventually end up dead, which im surprised he hasnt already. This story is a shame, but its a perfect example of what can happen when people get fame and fortune in a matter of weeks. Clarett aint the first and he wont be the last.

CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE

Im no huge fan of Hillary Clinton, but something she said recently was very impressive. I dont know exactly where she said this and I dont really care, all I know is that its about time somebody from the Democratic Party bashed the hell out of the movie that depicts the assassination of President Bush. Here are her comments:

"I think its despicable," Clinton said of "Death of a President," a fictional film that features a staged assassination of the president in 2007. "I think its absolutely outrageous. That anyone would even attempt to profit on such a horrible scenario makes me sick."

Thats awesome. She does herself some serious justice when talking like that. I just hope it doesnt happen to often!

AIR-HEAD AMERICA GOING BELLY UP

Well...what can I say, it was only a matter of time before Air-America faded away. Nobody, not even liberals want to listen to a bunch of rich elitests bitching and complaining twenty-four hours a day about how horrible the United States is. The hosts on this radio station are not entertaining enough to keep an audience, and their money went down the toilet. Its pathetic really, but it was inevitable. Another interesting fact about this, no liberal media outlet, not a single one, is reporting this story. It started on a liberal blog and has now gone through the conservative media. That shouldnt shock you...really it shouldnt. Aidos Air-Head America, you failed.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO COMMON SENSE?

The mainstream media is thrilled tonight. They are hoping and praying for a showdown between Republicans in the Senate over whether or not terror suspects should be given military tribunals when captured. I hate to burst their bubbles, but it aint gonna happen. The GOP is finally making serious headway when it comes to the fall elections. The Presidents approval ratings are also going up, so it would be political suicide for Republicans in the Senate to get in a fight over this issue. Dont let me make you think that this issue is not important, because it is. Its extremely important actually. Ya know what I wish? I just wish lawmakers would use common sense when it comes to the war on terror.

What are we talking about here? Well, we are talking about terrorists that are being picked up off the battlefield all over the Middle East. These people are planning, plotting, and carrying out attacks that are killing and wounding are troops. And now, people want to give them rights once they are captured. These are not soldiers of a particular Army, the kind for which the Geneva Convention was intended. These are murderers who routinely and purposly use terrorist tactics to kill innocent men, women, and children.

People on the left in this country want them treated humanly, regardless of the situation, even if the suspect has knowledge of an imminent attack on the United States that could kill thousands of people or more. I find that way of thinking disturbing and irresponsible. Why shouldnt we be able to use coercive interigation if these people know of attacks? If its going to keep my family safe, I couldnt careless how the scumbag is treated that wants to murder innocent Americans. The enemy sure doesnt care, they arent abiding by the Geneva Conventions. They bombing residential buildings and behead journalists and soldiers, but now we want to give them the same rights as convicted felons. I just dont get it.

This war will be won or lost on intelligence information. We have obviously had our share of problems with intel in the past, but if it takes a little torture to be able to protect this country, I say go right ahead. Im not saying torture any innocent person off the street, but if there is someone who is trying to kill US troops and is an enemy of this country, give him the works. This isnt a situation where being nice will gain us any ground. Its not like by doing what I advise, the enemy will get meaner, they already torture and murder their enemies. Military tribunals of terrorists will not help us win the war on terror, and I know that the Republicans in the Senate realize the completely. Again, dont expect to see the GOP split on this one. Sorry CNN.

NATALIE MAINES = DUMB F#%K

Ya know what is just precious, when the pot calls the kettle black. Allow me to digress. Remember a few years back when the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks said she was ashamed of the President while giving a concert in Britain which costed her and her band mates their careers? And then remember how they came back this year after being in hiding to release an album that had only one single, which once again was supposed to be a shot at the President and conservatives? I think its safe to say that their career choices up till now have not been exactly lucrative, since they cant even put together a tour in the United States. Once again, the Chicks just cannot learn to shut their mouths. It unbelievable really how dumb these three are. Just amazing.

They evidentally have a documentary coming out soon. Yay! Now who in the hell would want to watch a movie about the Dixie Chicks? If you raised your hand, you need to get a life. And Im serious about that. In this documentary, there apparently is a part where the DC's are shown a clip of President Bush discussing all their hoop-la and their reaction is puuuuure gold.

In one memorable scene, Maines watches news footage of the president being interviewed about the furor that followed the singer's on-stage comment that she was "ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas," which resulted in the group being dropped from most radio stations, as well as protests and plummeting sales. "The Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind," Bush told Tom Brokaw at the time, adding, "They shouldnt have their feelings hurt because some people dont want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street."

After watching the footage, Maines repeats the president's comment about how the group shouldnt have their "feelings hurt," incredulous, and then says, "What a dumb f---." She then looks into the camera, as if addressing Bush, and reiterates, "You're a dumb f---."

How nice. I gotta tell you, if I was the other two girls in the band, I would seriously be about ready to strangle that idiot. She has single-handedly ruined their careers. I just dont understand how somebody could be so stupid. If she thinks Bush is dumb, maybe she should look at her own pathetic situation. I mean if you want an analogy, the DC's are a musical equivilant to Maurice Clarett. They were on top of the world three years ago, now they cant even play a concert in most US cities and many radio stations wont even play their music. Now I ask you, whose the real dumb f---?

President Bush will address the nation tonight at 9:00. I hope his speech is as good tonight as it was 5 years ago. He said on 9/11/01, "A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve."

Today we remember all those who died five years ago. You will never be forgotten.

A Little Bit of Perspective

Can you believe its been five years since 9/11? I cant. I dont know about you, but I remember that morning like it was this morning. The anniversary's are always kind of tough on me. I know that might sound stupid but its true. I was 18 in 2001. I had just left for college, to sow my wild oats if you will. It was my third week of school when everything happened, and it really affected me. Maybe it was because I was so young. I guess I was old enough to realize the severity of the situation, but still not mature enough control my emotions. I can honestly say that that day forever changed the way that I think. Prior to 9/11, I wasnt very politically involved. I was always up to date on current events, but mostly because my dad would watch the news every single night, and I just sat there, usually against my will. But as I watched those events unfold, I felt so completely helpless. I was totally paralyzed by fear and sorrow. I could not sleep that night, it was the first time I was ever afraid to be an American.

Those feelings have stuck with me to this day. Following 9/11, I found a new interest in politics and how our government operated. I guess you could say its become an obsession for me over the past five years, but I consider that a good thing. My knowledge in politics has helped me become a better person, and has driven me to not only major in political science, but also to hopefully work for the government in some shape or form. Its an irony that I dont take for granted. Out of those horrific events in 2001, came an opportunity for me, and Ive seized it. There wouldnt be a bradsjournal.com without 9/11.

I just wish more people were like me. We all remember the events and the exact place we were when we heard the news, but many forget how they felt that day, and thats a tragedy in it of itself. I guess time has healed those wounds for some, but not for me. The images of innocent people being forced to jump 100 stories to their deaths have been forever etched into my mind, which does not allow me to become complacit. Some people call what I just said scare-tactics. Let me ask you, doesnt it scare you to think you might be forced to jump out of a high rise building to your death because someone hates the way you live your life? Does it scare you that a family member could on any given day meet that same fate? Terrorism is called Terrorism because its supposed to scare you. Its not coincidence that the root of the word itself is terror. Look it up in the dictionary if you dont know what it means. Terrorists use fear as their primary weapon. Its supposed to scare all people into submission, but that plan backfired on them the minute that first plan hit that first tower five years ago tomorrow.

Almost every generation of Americans has had their lives altered by some major geo-political event; from the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, to the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865, to the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941, to the assassination of another president in 1963, and finally to the attacks of September 11th, 2001. Those before us have been able take tragedy and turn it into truimph. Now its our turn. The struggle that started five years ago continues, and victory is attainable. But we must go back to that morning, and remember the emotions felt, because only with that will and resolve will we be able to come out of these troubled times with the defeat of our enemies. Tomorrow, remember how your body responded to what your eyes were showing you that morning, and that should give you a little perpective.

Well, I hope you all enjoy the new look to Bradsjournal.com. The truth is that I accidentally deleted my entire template, so I had to start from scratch. And rather than trying to make it look exactly the same as it did, I decided to change things up a bit. I am still working on it and hope to have all the kinks out soon. The Democrats and Iraq

WHO SAID WHAT?!?!

I recently came across some quotes made by some prominent Democrats prior to the US invasion of Iraq in March 2003. If you hear them talk today, the constantly complain about how the President lied about WMD's and how we were misled into this war and blah blah blah. Well lets take trip back in time shall we to a time when the Democrats also knew the threat Saddam Hussein posed to our country. The media will never ask these people to explain their comments, but I would sure like them to. Here we go:

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY): "I voted for the Iraqi resolution. I consider the prospect of a nuclear-armed Saddam Hussein who can threaten not only his neighbors, but the stability of the region and the world, a very serious threat to the United States. 1/22/03

Senator John Francis Kerry (D-Mass): "According to the CIA's report, all the US intelligence experts agree that Iraq is seeking nuclear weapons. There is little question that Saddam Hussein wants to develop nuclear weapons." 10/9/02

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Cal): "Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons." 10/10/02

Rep. Jane Harman (D-Cal): "What will happen not just with al-qaeda but with Hezbollah and Hamas and all the other terrorist groups around the world if Iraq is permitted to continue to amass weapons of mass destruction and to develop nuclear capabilities." 2/16/03

Its funny how they got it back then, but now that the war has been difficult, they have changed their minds for political gain, regardless of the effect it might have on the effort of the troops on the ground still trying to win. These people are hypocrits of the worst kind, and could very well be in power come November. Now there is a scare tactic for ya.

In Memoriam

STEVE IRWIN 1962-2006

Im sure by now most of you have heard that the 'Crocodile Hunter' Stever Irwin was killed today by a sting ray. The ray apparently stabbed Irwin in the heart while he was diving in Australia. I dont know why, but its sad whenever someone like him dies a freakish and untimely death. I especially feel bad for his wife and two young kids. But, Irwin lived his life dangerously. Im sure no one thought a sting ray would cause his eventual demise, he was bound to get seriously injured by either a poisionous snake or crocodile at some point and time. We see this time and time again when humans try to tame mother nature. Remember a few years back with the guy from Siegfried and Roy was mauled by a friggin tiger. Its incredibly dangerous to do that type of work, but it pays off financially for these people. Regardless, Steve Irwin died doing what he loved, which I hope comforts his family. Live by the sword and die by the sword. Rest in Peace Steve, you will be missed.

What Would the Democrats Do?

SANTORUM EXPOSES DEMS PLAN FOR 2006

Today on Meet The Press, Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum took his opponent, Democrat Bob Casey, to schoooooool. It was great to finally watch a Republican not only hold his own on a show like this, but also not apologize for being a Republican. We keed hearing about how GOP incumbants are running away from the President this year because of his unpopularity and blah blah blah, but Santorum supports Bush almost 100% of the time, and he isnt afraid to admit it. Santorum was able to illustrate just how dumb many Democratic candidates are this year. Obviously, many of them are opportunists who think they can capitalize on public opinion and get elected while not having to really have a plan for any issues that are important to every day Americans. I think it has worked up until know, but the debates this fall will be extremely telling.

Labor Day is tomorrow, and it signifies the official beginning of campaign season. You will start to see numerous campaign adds on your television sets, and you will also start to get alot of literature mailing from candidates. This is when things start getting real exciting for dorks like me. I love it. But I ask you to pay attention to the debates especially. Dont let the Democratic Party win the Congress without explaining what they want to do for our nation. Make them be specific, because otherwise they wont. Bob Casey this morning would not offer any solutions to problems, he simply spewed the same talking points that Howard Dean says on a daily basis. I urge you to watch this mornings Meet The Press and see if for yourself. Santorum got grilled, as Republicans usually do, be he gave great answers to almost every question, and proved why he deserves to be reelected. The show runs about an hour in length, but is worth it. Click here to watch it.

I expect, and hope for that matter, that the GOP will gain substantial ground by election day. Once the Democrats are finally forced to answer the tough questions, I have total faith they will sink themselves. I still think that liberals are the Republicans best weapon in national elections, because they have absolutely no clue as to how to run this country. They wont keep this country safe, they have no idea what to do about Iraq, they will raise taxes, and they will make it impossible for President Bush to get anything done in his last two years in office, regardless of what it is. Yes, they hate him that much. I say again, do yourself a favor and watch the debates this fall, because if they go anything like the one between Rick Santorum and Bob Casey, the GOP should be just fine on November 7th.

Just A Good Picture

BRAYLON DOES HIS PART

I came across the picture on the Army.mil website. Thats Browns wide-receiver Braylon Edwards signing the prosthetic leg of Spc. Terry Dean from the Ohio National Guard, who lost his leg after an IED exploded in Iraq. I dont know the story of why this soldier was visiting the Browns, and I really dont care, I just think its really cool to see a pro-athlete taking time out of his practice to do something nice for a guy who sacrificed so much for this country.

The only part about this picture that I dont particularly care for is the big Michigan connection these two men have, however with everything Spc. Kerry is Still Crying over '04

Ted Strickland should know better than to seek the help of a guy like John Kerry. Kerry no asset to Stricklands campaign and will only hurt his chances in my opinion. Here is the proof: Kerry is still complaining about the fact he lost Ohio in 2004, which luckily cost him the election. He now lays the blame with Ken Blackwell, how nice. Having John Kerry blame Blackwell for defeat will only rile up the conservative base, which is obviously beneficial to Republicans. Here is the hilarious story:

Sen. John Kerry didnt contest the results at the time, but now that he's considering another run for the White House, hes alleging election improprieties by the Ohio Republican who oversaw the deciding vote in 2004.

An e-mail from Kerry will be sent to 100,000 Democratic donors Tuesday asking them to support U.S. Rep. Ted Strickland for governor of Ohio. The bulk of the e-mail criticizes Strickland's opponent, GOP Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, for his dual role in 2004 as President Bush's honorary Ohio campaign co-chairman and the state's top election official.

"He used the power of his state office to try to intimidate Ohioans and suppress the Democratic cote," Kerry says in the e-mail, according to a copy provided in advance.

Kerry, D-Massachusetts, conceded thet election when he lost Ohio and its 20 electoral votes. A recount requested by minor-party candidates showed Bush won by about 118,000 votes out of 5.5 million cast. But Kerry's e-mail says Blackwell "used his office to abuse our democracy and threaten basic voting rights."

Multiple lawsuits by outside groups were unsuccessful in challenging Ohio's 2004 election. One case filed by the League of Women Voters is still in U.S. District Court in Toledo. It claims Ohio's election system discriminates against minority voters.

Blackwell, who is black, says the election was run fairly, citing 1 million more votes cast than in 2000 and record turnout among black voters.

"People will say anything for money," Blackwell campaign spokesman Carlo LoParo said. "Fortunately, the historical record contradicts Senator Kerry."

Strickland spokesman Keith Dailey said the campaign welcomes Kerry's support.

Normally I would call Kerry and idiot and tell him to shut the hell up, but in this case, him spewing this ridiculous garbage only makes the GOP and Ken Blackwell for that matter, look damn good. So I say, keep on talkin Johnnie-boy. And by the way, anyone out there think Kerry has a shot in 2008? Yeah me neither.

The 1O most Contended Senate Seats

AS OF TODAY

Most people with endless political knowledge, like myself, figure there are 11 Senate races that are currently up for grabs. I am going to make my first predictions about these races and I plan to do so numerous times before the election. Everyone knows that 10 weeks is an eternity in politics, but if the election was today, here is now I believe these races are leaning:

Connecticut: Leaning Lieberman
Joe Lieberman is ahead in the polls and should win this race. The GOP candidate hasnt a chance so many republicans are throwing their support, and even their money, to Lieberman. Believe it or not, Ned Lamont is just too liberal, even for Connecticut.

Ohio: Leaning Democratic
Well the polls are showing a small lead for Sherrod Brown. This race is getting the most attention in Ohio, and will get really interesting when the debates start. I believe the first one will be on Meet The Press, and that will be huge. DeWine still can win this thing and hopefully will, but right now I have to go with the polls and give Brown the minute advantage.

Minnesota: Likely Democratic
Minnesota is becoming a pretty Democratic State, and I believe Klobuchar will win this race without much of a problem. Most polls have him with a double digit lead, which makes a win for the GOP very improbable.

Missouri: Leaning Republican
The polls have this one very close, but I think that Sen. Jim Talent will keep his seat. This is another race that will rely heavily on the debates, and I think that incumbants will do very well when facing the challengers. Look for Talent to win.

Montana: Dead Heat
This one is very very close. I hope that Conrad Burns can pull it out, but it will be difficult. I think out of all the Republican Senators, he is the one in the most trouble of getting the boot. This one should get interesting.

New Jersey: Leaning Democratic
I cant believe Im saying this but the GOP has a shot in New Jersey! Bob Menendez, who was appointed after John Corzine became Governor, is in deeeeep trouble over there. That state has been ravaged by scandel in the Democratic Party. Basically, the Dems are in the same situation in New Jersey as Republicans are in Ohio. Tom Kean, who has a famous name in New Jersey, could actually win this thing, although I think that Menendez still has a very small edge.

Pennsylvania: Leaning Democratic
This race is still leaning Democratic, but incumbant Rick Santorum has been steadily gaining ground in the polls, and I am not ready to count him out just yet. There are plenty of Republican voters in PA to pull this one out for Santorum, who is a good Senator. If he continues on this recent tear, he should be able to pull this one out. But he still has a bit of an uphill battle.

Virginia: Likely Republican
I think George Allen will still win this race even after all the hoopla surrounding his recent comments. Im not even exactly sure what he said and I dont care, he should just be more careful about what comes out of his mouth. While he should win his Senate race easily, I think his presidential aspiration have all but sailed away.

Washington: Likely Democratic
This one is easy, Washington is a Democratic stronghold, and while Republicans have contested some high profile races lately, like the 2004 Governor race up there, I still think the Dems will rule the day.

Rhode Island: Dead Heat
Yes, Lincoln Chafee is in trouble, but I think he can pull this out. The polls have this one basically even, but with Chafee's recent call for a timetable to withdrawl US troops from Iraq, he is doing just what the liberals in Rhode Island want him to do. As he distances himself from Bush, he will do better in the polls. He should win, but could still lose.

Good News from the Middle East

DID I SERIOUSLY JUST SAY THAT?

Im not a big fan of the Muslim world. I think the majority of those people over there are ignorant, arrogant, and violent. However, today they took a step in the right direction by releasing the two FOX NEWS journalists that were kidnapped in Gaza about two weeks ago. From the beginning, Palestinian leaders, both political and religious, called for the realease of the two men, and it appears their calls for a peaceful release paid off huge. Both men, Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig should be on their way back to the United States within a matter of hours to reunited with their families. Its good to finally report a positive story from the Middle East, since they are so few and far between. I give credit to everyone involved in getting these two men out of the hands of terrorists safely, awesome job.

Dem Congressman Takes Trip Paid for by Terrorists

Yes an Illinois Congressman took a trip to Sri Lanka in 2005 which was paid for by a group of rebels on the U.S. Governments terror list. Appearently this group uses suicide bombers and child soldiers to do their dirty work...sound familiar? I dont think this will help his reelection campaign, but I guess you never know when dealing with them liberals. You can read the complete story here. I would type the whole thing out but I am just too lazy to be quite honest with you. But its worth a look considering these are the kinds of people expected to take over the House come November. I feel like Im on the Titanic.

Cleveland Rocks the RNC

Here are a few pictures I shot last night at the ROCKIN THE RNC party at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was a hell of a good time, and a lot of big names showed up for the event. Now, without further adue, here are the pics:

This was a shot of the Rock Hall as we were walking up to it. The outside decorations were not as elaborate as I would have liked, but it still looked pretty good.

This is Don King posing with a friend of a friend of mine. Ya gotta love Don King just because of how much the man loves his country. Evidentally he is a diehard Republican, and also a Clevelander. I dont know how much his presence will help us land the convention, but it was still cool of him to show up.

That there is the stage inside the Rock Hall. If you look closely you can see a guy talking at a podium. There also was various singers and entertainers who wow'ed the crowd throughout the night from that there stage. The entertainers were better than I expected to be honest, even though it wasnt my type of music.

This is just a random picture I took from inside the Hall. I thought it was cool with the city in the backround.
Above is about the extent of the outside decorations which I mentioned earlier. Even up close, its not so great.
I thought this was pretty cool. You cant really beat a 12 foot elephant while being around hundreds of fellow Republicans. The elephant was a good touch.

And finally here is a picture I snapped of myself without knowing that balloon was directly over my big head. It really looks like Im balancing a ball there, but Im not. Awesome.

Overall I think it was a great night. I hope that the committee who will ultimately decide who gets to host the convention was impressed, because they should be. Cleveland has many venues, like the Rock Hall, that no other city has. I heard that they could make their final decision earlier than the previously believed deadline of December or January, but it still probably wont be before the November elections. Getting the convention here in 2008 would be great for our city, just ask Democratic Mayor Frank Jackson, who showed up last night and gave a speech. I think having this bipartisan support is a huge plus for our city. With the road to the White House truly running through Ohio, Cleveland is the only logical choice for the RNC in 2008. Lets show the world why we are the best location in the nation.

Few photographs really stand the test of time. This one, where US Marines are hoisting the stars and stripes in Iwo Jima, on February 23, 1945, will forever live as a vision of victory for our great country. The man who shot the photo died today at the age of 94. Its incredible how few people know the mans name who shot this famous photo considering it has become such an important part of our nations history. It was again popularized after 9/11 when a group of New York City firefighters raised the flag atop the smokey remains of the World Trade Center. This picture gave people hope during the Second World War, and also follwing September 11th, so we owe a debt of gratitude to Joe Rosenthal. Although his name might never be historical, his contribution to the United States of America will never be forgotten. Thanks Joe.

3 Ladies I just Dont Care About

Ok the media has been going nuts over a few people and its really getting on my nerves. There are numerous more importent events to be covering these days, so their obsession with the follwing women is unfortunate to us as the views, not to mention freakin boring as all hell. The first women who I could care less about is Katie Couric. Now I understand she is about to become the very first full time female news anchor in network news, and I guess that is significant, but other than that, who cares? The show will be the same boring thing it was when Dan Rather hosted it, and they news will be the same as on FOX and CNN and the rest of them. To me, she has nothing about her that is interesting enough for me to tune in and watch her read a teleprompter. If she was in a bikini, I might watch. Maybe thats me being sexist but I dont care, its the truth. CBS is really hyping her arrival, hoping it will get their broadcast out of the ratings basement. My prediction, she will probably do well the first few nights, but after a week or so, the hype will die down and so will her ratings. She wont beat Brian Williams and she wont beat Charlie Gibson by October. Best of luck to ya Kate.

The second woman that I dont care about is Jill Carroll. You might remember her because she was kidnapped by terrorists in Iraq a few months ago. Now, for some reason, the media is going crazy over this women. CNN especially has been playing up her story on their website almost daily. That shouldnt surprise anyone. Why dont I care about this woman...let me induldge you. First, allow me to express my jubilation that she was not killed while she was captive. I was actually shocked she made it out alive, and Im grateful for that. On the flip side however, she should not have been in Iraq in the first place. Her presence in that country, and her subsequent kidnapping only made the job harder for our troops, who then had to go rescue her butt. These are the same troops I might add that whom she criticized before her trip there. People like her do not belong in a warzone, because they always run the risk of getting kidnapped or killed. Like I said, I am glad she is ok, but I had no sympothy for her while she was captive. If anything, it shows just how cruel and stupid the enemy is that we are fighting. My advice to her: stay home Jill and write some memoirs of your heroing experience in Iraq so you can make money off of you dumb liberal friends, and dont forget to write about how the US military saved your ass.

Finally, the last woman, or girl in this matter that I dont care about is JonBenet Ramsey. Again, the media is going nuts over this idiot who says he killed her. I personally think the guy is full of crap, yes he is a bizarre looking psycho, but thats not a reason to cover this story 24/7. Let the investigators do their jobs, and if at the end of the day, he is the one, then cover the story, but do I really care what the guy had to drink on his flight back to the states yesterday? Nope. Its just a circus these days in the media. Even if this jerk is found guilty, its not going to bring that little girl back. Sure, it will be closure for her family, but what do I care. This is the type of story that should be discussed on the third segment of a news show or in the 8th page of a newspaper, but in todays media its the top story. Remember, this murder happened ten years ago, so I should care today because?

Woodrow Wilson and Terrorism

THE LAST DEMOCRAT WITH A FOREIGN POLICY

I want to post a speech given by President Woodrow Wilson back in 1917, which sent the United States to battle in World War I. The speech is amazing, and has a very appropriate for the war we are currently fighting against terrorism. Wilson was a visionary when it came to foreign policy. Maybe with the exception of FDR and JFK, he is that last Democrat to oversee a successful policy on the worlds stage. Im going to take out any reference to Germany in the speech and add the words terrorism, so you can relate it to today. With those few changes, you will be able to really see how ahead of his time Wilson truly was. I wish President Bush could give a speech like this. Anyways, please read this and enjoy it.

The present terrorist actions against [our interests] is a warfare against all mankind. It is war against all nations...The challenge is to all mankind.

Each nation must decide for itself how it will meet it. The choice we make for ourselves must be made with the moderation of councel and temperateness of judgement befitting our character and our motives as a nation. We must put excited feeling away. Our motive will not be revenge or the victorious assertion of the physical might of the nation, but only the vindication of right, of human right, of which we are only a single champion.

The past can always teach us valuble lessons as long as we are patient enough and willing to seek its wisdom. Lets learn from our mistakes and benefit from our triumphs. Let us be emboldened by our track record of victories through the ages, and let us have the power, both physically and spiritually, to see this new struggle to an ending beneficial to the entire free world. If we do this, we will undoubtedly prevail.

Betty Sutton and Abortion

SHE'S A BIG FAN

Congressional candidate Betty Sutton isnt hiding the fact that she is a huge supporter of abortion. To date, she has received more than $600,000 of campaign contributions from 'Emily's List' which is a very pro abortion group. Even worse, Sutton supports the brutal and horriying practice of partial birth abortion. I dont really know how somebody with a conscience could agree with killing a fetus in the third trimester, considering the fact that by then it is a child and could survive outside the womb. Whether or not you agree with regular abortion, supporting it until birth is vial. Living in the 13th district, I think it is important that people understand her views on this controversial subject, because I think it could really help the Republican in the race, Lorain Mayor Craig Foltin.

Foltin is a Catholic and staunch opponent of abortion. I think Mr. Foltin understand that there are many alternatives to abortion which should be exercised before a fetus is murdered. I hope that Foltin nails Sutton on this issue whenever they debate face to face, because in this district, which is quite religious, opposing abortion will get you votes. I hope that everyone out there spreads the word about Sutton's unfettered support of both regular abortion and partial birth abortion, because I doubt you will ever hear it come out of her mouth. We dont need more people like her in Congress. She is a liberal on just about every issue there is. She will weakin national security and moral security in our country. Please, go to www.foltinforcongress.com and do whatever you can to support Mayor Foltin. Dont allow a person like Betty Sutton to support this district and our state.

FOX NEWS reporter Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig were kidnapped someplace in Gaza today. FNC senior VP confirmed this terrible news with an internal message to FOX NEWS employees:

"The rumors are true: two of our employees have been abducted in Gaza. We will report this fact via our Israel correspondents. Do NOT do any other segments on it. Do not book guests on this topic. Do not comment officially and of course, not on the air, about it. DO pray for their release. I will keep you posted."

How terrible. FOX NEWS is doing what the VP said and not covering the story at all. Its not on their website or on the air. I think I saw something about it on CNN earlier, but I just checked and it was gone. Hopefully they took it down out of respect for a collegue. Lets just hope these two men make it home alive. It just proves once again the kind of animals that live in the Middle East. Please keep Steve and Olaf in your prayers. Ill keep you posted.

3 Major Victories in One Week

Im still not extremely optimistic about November as far as the GOP is concerned, but recent developments have really helped Republicans in my opinion. The first major even is the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Even Bill Mahar said that as far as that issue is concerned, Bush is the best president we have ever had. All of Bush's predecessors have failed miserably when it came to brokering a peace between Israel and its hostile neighbors. One can only hold off the inevitable for so long. President Bush realizes that they are going to have to fight it out to show is has the upper hand. Allowing Israel to dismantle much of Hezbollah is brilliant, even thought the Israeli campaign has been far from perfect. Bush has impressed alot of people, especially some on the left. You cannot count the crowd who will disagree with any type of armed conflict. They are truly crazy. But many influential liberals in this country are Jewish, and they obviously want to see Israel prevail. Unfortunately, a cease fire is supposed to be put into effect in a matter of hours from now, but reports show that the war is still raging on. Regardless of what happens, Bush scored big on the mid-east. Kudos to him.

The next victory for the GOP is an unlikely one, and you really have to see between the lines to see the positives. Ned Lamont winning the Democratic primary in Connecticut is a Godsend for Republicans, because it shows just how liberal the mainstream Democratic Party has become. Joe Lieberman got thrown aside by his party because of one issue, and now Joe is fighting back and is running as an Independent, and the last poll had him up six points. Liberals just do not win national elections, so the more Ned Lamonts we see elected, the more the Dems are shooting themselves in the foot not just for 2006, but especially for 2008. This also should scare Hillary Clinton. It would be great for Republicans if she is challenged in '08 by someone to the left of her, which will happen. With the Dems tending so far to the left, the primary two years from now for president could be extremely nasty. Basically the Democrats will sink themselves while the GOP candidate, whomever it might be, should safely sail to the White House. I cant wait for '08.

Lastly, the thwarted terror attack of last week will certainly help Republicans. I hate to politicize terrorism, but lets face it, the Democrats have no clue on how to defeat this global enemy. It was almost comical to see many influential Dems come out and bash the president over what happened last week. Now lets see, we successfully thwarted an 9/11 type terror attack, and have stayed terror free in the US since 2001, yet Bush has failed and this country is less safe. Can someone translate that for me? Republicans are the anti-terror party, and Bush is a terror-warrior. If the 2006 elections come down to terrorism, I see another victory for the GOP.
Terrorism should still be a huge issue on the mind of every American. We have made major strides in combating terror, but we still are not completely safe, as we saw last week. We must not allow the Dems to take back this country to ruin five years of progress. If we do, the consequences could be deathly, and yes, I am trying to scare you, because terrorism is a scary thing. This country needs Republican Leadership, and I think people will realize that as we get closer to November 7th. At least I hope so.

Lieberman's Loss and the Terror Threat

THE BIG PICTURE

As many people predicted, both Joe Lieberman and Cynthia McKinney lost their primary bids on Tuesday. McKinney lost because she is an incompotent moran. But Lieberman was a victim of an extremely dirty campaign and the far left agenda in this country. There are not many better people in Congress than Joe Lieberman, but liberals dont care about character. They are so obsessed with power that they will throw anyone under the bus because of one single issue, disregarding their record that goes back decades. Lieberman is a liberal, he votes with his party 90% of the time, but his support for Iraq sunk him. His hawkish attitude toward terrorism is grounds for impeachment according to most liberals, and they proved that on Tuesday. In a turn of sad Irony for Joe, today's thwarted terror attack proves that this nation is still very much at war and risk. I believe if this had happened on Monday, Lieberman would have won.

People like Ned Lamont cannot and will not protect this nation. Lamont has no idea what he is doing or talking about. He continuously uses talking points over and over again, but thats what liberals love. Im not sure if he issued any kind of statements about todays activities, but Id love to hear his thoughts. This country needs men like Joe Lieberman in congress, and the Democratic Party especially needs him. If they continue to move to the left, as they have been since 2004, they will continue to lose national elections. I think Lieberman will win in November inspite of what happened the other day. Joe has appeal to moderates and Republicans, while Lamont is stuck with the far left. I dont see Ned Lamont getting many more votes on November 7th than he did on Tuesday, where as Lieberman, who only lost by about 10,000 votes, has the ability to really capitolize. The Next few months should be very interesting in Connecticut.

Lieberman's troubles should scare many moderate Democrats, and especially those who support the war. Hillary Clinton imparticular should be rethinking her political strategy. As the part drifts leftward, she will be alone. We all know that somebody much more liberal will challenge her in 2008, and judging by what happened to Lieberman, that person could actually win the nomination. We saw this same sort of atmosphere in 1972 when George McGovern ran for President as the far left, antiwar candidate. He got slaughtered, as will the liberal candidate in 2008, so Republicans should be very happy about these developments.

Recapping, today's terror arrests prove Joe Lieberman right, but nobody on the left will admit that. He deserves his seat in the Senate, because he fully understands the threats we face everyday as Americans. This is not Vietnam. Anyday we could be attacked just like we were on 9/11, or even worse. But luckily, we have George W. Bush, and even people Lieberman, who are not scared to take tough stands when the fate the country is on the line. All of this shows that we are safer today than we were five years ago. So regardless of what that mainstream media says, and the kookie liberal bloggers, and the out of touch members of congress, we have made progress over the past half decade, and if the Democrats are able to regain power anytime soon, prepare to go back to the 9/10 mentality. And yes, that is meant to scare you, because it should.

The Media's War on War

THE TRUTH DONT MATTER NO MORE

The mainstream media in this country and around the world has begun to take matters into their own hands while reporting war stories. Recently, Reuters, a very powerful and influential news agency, was busted doctoring photos of the destruction in Lebanon. The did not only do it once by the way, and I have even heard reports saying they actually have software to screw with their pictures. Amazingly, the liberal media in this country isnt not really reporting this story, they are much more interested in every single civilian death in Lebanon and what Mel Gibson does on his weekends. Above is the reason why it is almost impossible to win a war in a world that has 24 hour constant news media with embedded journalists. When every single war plan, every shot fired, and every death is reported and obsessed over, nobody can prevail.

Now that fact has taken a turn for the worse, it thats possible. Now, not only will news outlets harp over every issue that hurts the cause, they will take it upon themselves to make the news. Obviously this is very dangerous. Neither the United States, nor Israel, will ever get a fair shake in the media, especially overseas. Unfortunetaly, many world leaders, including here in the states, sincerely care about what other people think. This is a war where we must look past the fact much of the world either sypmothizes with terrorists, or are terrorists themselves. We must look at successful wars of the past, and use those harsh tactics to defeat terror, even if those tactics are bloody and unpopular. Liberals cannot keep this country safe, I honestly do not know what will happen if they get into power. Negotiating doesnt work, and all those people want to do is talk. Talk to Hezbollah, talk to Hamas, talk to Syria, talk to Iran, talk to North Korean, Id even be willing to be that they would want to talk to Bin Laden. Britain negotiated with Hitler in 1938, and thank God they did. It saved the world a terrible war and millions of lives. Oh wait, nevermind. Keep negotiating.

Tuesday = Big Day

LIEBERMAN AND MCKINNEY ON THE ROPES

This Tuesday will showcase two of the biggest primary's of the entire summer. Both Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney will be watching the results roll in as their political lives hang in the balance. Both are down in the latest polls, which never is a good sign for an incumbant with the vote only days away. The reasons for their low numbers couldnt be more different, Lieberman is in trouble for his politics, while McKinney could get the boot because she is an inconsiderate idiot.

Joe Lieberman is one of the few Democrats in the Senate that I have any respect for. He tends to be a more moderate voice, which is refreshing when the rest of his caucus are flaming liberals. However, he is a Democrat, and he votes with his party about 90% of the time. He is liberal on the environment, taxes, and other important issues, but one imparticular has gotten him in a heap of trouble...Iraq. His challenger, Ned Lamont, has come out as the crazy anti-war candidate. Lieberman understand Iraq. He supports it, and unlike most in his party, he wants us to be victorious over there. Its looking like Joe is going to lose on Tuesday, and lose big. I personally like Lieberman, but his troubles illustrate just how left-wing his party has become. I mean he was the Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee just six years ago, now hes been completely abondoned by his party. The Democrats need a guy like Lieberman just to balance out the rest of the whack jobs out there, but things dont look good. He says if he loses he will run as an independent, and I hope he does because that could split the vote and let a Republican win that seat. Thats probably wishful thinking, but its happened before. Good Luck Joe.

Now on to Cynthia McKinney. Shes the psycho who smacked a Capitol Hill police officer a few months back. She represents the 4th congressional district in Georgia, but not for long. This is also a Democratic primary election but is a runoff. Her opponent is a black man who used to be a county commissioner, and the guy is smart. I watched a debate between the two of them yesterday on C-SPAN and the guy just mopped the floor with her. She comes off as such a B-word that Ill be surprised to see her get 20% of the vote. Shes trying to play the anti-Bush card, saying shes the number one critic of the Adminstration, but its not getting her anywhere. Her opponent is just a better candidate, and a better person than her, and the voters know it. I cannot wait to see her face on Tuesday night, if she has the balls to make a public statement after the schlacking that awaits. She does not deserve to represent this country. Adios Cynthia.

The Assassination of Mel Gibson

The media is going wild over Mel Gibson's arrest and subsequent anti-semitic tirade last weekend. For proof, just google the word tirade and see what comes up. CNN imparticular has basically consumed its weekend coverage with Gibson's problems. But why? The honest truth is that I have no idea. Obviously Mel Gibson needs some serious help. The man is an alcoholic and has had problems with booze for much of his adult life. Fine. Now comes the question of whether or not he truly hates Jewish people...I think so. Someone who isnt filled with hate would not blurt out comments like that upon being arrested, and I am a believer that you tend to be more honest when you're hammered.

With that said, I think its time that the media leave the guy alone so that he can hopefully persue some help for his problems. Its one thing to report a story, but its another thing to ram it down the throats of a public who really could careless about Mel Gibson and his feelings toward those of the Jewish faith. If you hate Gibson now, its understandable, dont go see his movies. Im not even sure if I will after all this bru-ha-ha, but again, we need to move on from it. There are much bigger problems going on in the world than the opinions of A-list celebrities, although many times one wouldnt think so. I think that Mel Gibson is the victim of a racist father, who has publically denied the Holocaust. While I can sympothize with that fact, it still does not excuse his actions last weekend, and he will be held accountable. But again I say, get over it.

Iraq War Update

HOW THINGS REALLY ARE GOING

The war in Iraq has largely been ignored over the past three weeks by the media. Their obsession with whats going on in Israel in Lebanon has put Iraq on the backburner, but the war does continue. Violence is up in Baghdad by most accounts. The city is still under siege by insurgents and terrorists, blowing up car bombs and IED, and using other various cowardly methods to kill US troops and innocent Iraqis. However, according to globalsecurity.org, US military deaths in Iraq were way down in July. A total of 41 brave US troops were killed in Iraq last month, and zero so far in August. Lets all hope and pray that not another single troop is murdered by those animals over there.

As I said earlier, the violence in Baghdad has escalated lately, but it seems that the rest of the country as become more stable. Last week, the Pentagon announced that it would be moving more US troops into Baghdad from other areas of the country. To me, this is proof that other areas have calmed down. The Northern part of Iraq is run by the Kurds, and they are very pro-American. That area is probably the least violent part of the entire country. The south, including Basra, is under British watch, and that section is also relatively stable. The only current hotbed for attacks is Baghdad and its surrouding cities. Unfortunately, those areas consist of more than 25% of the entire population of Iraqi's, so policeing that many people is extremely difficult.

Many had hoped that the United States could begin withdrawling troops from Iraq by the end of the year. Recent events however seem to indicate the contrary, but nobody is certain. A couple of days ago, the Iraqi President said that he believes Iraqi security forces will be able to completely police his country by the beginning of 2007, but thats probably wishful thinking. All I know is that it is a positive development that US casualities are down over there. Im not sure if we have adapted better to the tactives of the terrorists, or why the number is down, but who really cares. I believe that once we can clean up Baghdad, we will win the war, and our service people can come home. The media has forgotten about Iraq, but you can be sure that they will remember it come election time. Dont give up on the effort, it was still the right thing to do, and we are and will be better off for the hard work that has been accomplished. God Bless the troops.

If you follow the news, you have probably heard about the bombing in Lebanon yesterday that killed more than 50 people including children. That is a tragedy, but dont let people brain wash you into thinking that it is Israel's fault. Israel is beginning to see how hard it is to fight a war with the media covering its every move. A media by the way which hates war and will harp about every single civilian casualty. It is extremely difficult to be successful in a campaign like this, and I think Israel is learning this the hard way. But we cannot allow the media to side track us on the real issue here, which is terrorism. Israel is fighting against the same extremists that we are in Iraq and Afghanistan. The enemy is full of cowards. They hide behind innocent people exactly for the purpose of swaying public opinion. They need that opinion. If the Muslim world would wake up, terrorism would be ended tomorrow. But they are too full of hatred of Israel and the west to realize that they are being held captive by Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, Hamas and others.

The big story yesterday was the civilian deaths, yet little attention was paid to the fact that Hezbollah was firing rockets at Israel from just behind that building. The international community is quick to condemn Israel and the US for harming civilians, yet the terrorists use killling civlians as their number one weapon. Israel is trying to blow up Hezbollah, but regular people get in the way, while Hezbollah has fired more than one thousand rockets aimed directly at heavily populated Israeli towns. They are not targeting any military installations, they just want to kill innocent Jews. But, that story gets lost in the agenda of the news media, and other nations who constantly give the terrorists the benefit of the doubt. I do feel bad for the innocent people killed in the Middle East, but if they are willing to harbor these terrorist groups, who live amongst them and fire weapons from city streets and houses, then they will continue to do until they themselves throw the terrorists out. And that is the way it should be.

I dont know what it will take for the Muslim world to realize what is happening to them. We, meaning the United States and Israel, are once again fighting against fascism. These terror groups want to take over the world, much like Hitler and his buddies did. They will kill anyone who gets in their way, whether it is Americans, Jews, or even other Muslims. Look at Iraq for example, about 6 times more Muslims have been killed by terrorists there than Americans, but we are still the bad guy. Everything is our and Bush's fault. Nobody can blame the true perpetrators.

I dont know how this will all end. All I know is that we have to do one of two things. We must either completely commit ourselves to ending terror by aggressively stopping it, and I mean much more aggressively than we are now, or we must pull all our troops out of the area and hope and pray we do not get attacked again. I certainly support the first part of that, but many around the world would rather do the ladder. Rememeber when George Bush said after 9/11 that we would go after not only terrorist groups, but those who harbor them? What ever happened to that? We cannot be worried about civilian casualities if those civilans support the enemy, that makes them the enemy too. Until the Muslim world rids themselves of the cancer among them, they will have to feel the wrath of the United States and Israel. We cannot allow this problem to grow and spread any longer. And also I say to you, remember who the real enemy is. Remember who blew up the trade towers, and remember who kidnapped the Israeli soldiers, and remember who is blowing up American troops around the world as we speak. Just remember that.

I was just reading a story on CNN that was headlined this way: "Democrats: Bolton Still A Bully." It really is laughable. Today, Mr. Bolton went before a Senate committee to be permanently assigned the U.S. ambassador to the worthless United Nations. When John Bolton was first nominated last year by President Bush, many people had their reservations about the man. Even GOP Senator George Voinovich sided with Democrats in opposing Bolton's nomination. But in the short time he's been in New York, I believe that most American's would agree that he has done a great job trying to push the United Nations to do anything constructive, including Voinovich by the way who says he will support Bolton this time around. Obviously, he cannot do it alone. He is only one small piece in a large organization of appeasers and terrorist sympothizers. Bolton was criticized last year for being to brash, and having a bit of an attitude problem. Those are exactly the reasons I supported him, and also the reasons he has been successful thus far.

The Democrats would rather have somebody representing the US over there who are more intouch with their diplomatic beliefs, which are negotiate with anybody and everybody all the time. Democrats will threaten to use force and action all day long, but they will never back it up, never. Proof of this was evident today, when Democrats called Bolton a bully. They must not have gotten the memo that a bully is exactly what we need in the UN. The UN has been impotent for years, especially during the Clinton years when Billy relied on them for everything, and nothing got done unless the United States took the lead.

The prolems involving the UN will not stop even with John Bolton in there representing the United States. Then only way to reform that organization is to get Kofi Annan's butt out of there. Luckily, I believe Annan's term as Secretary General will expire by the end of this. While I have not decided on who I would like his successor to be, one name I like currently is Tony Blair. Im getting ahead of myself. The bottom line is that we need John Bolton in the UN, especially with all the crap going on as we speak in the Middle East. I fully expect him to be confirmed in the very near future, even with the whiney Democrats complaining about how meaaaaaaaan he is. Somebody call the wahhh-mbulance.

'The Hill' Interviews Craig Foltin

OUR ONLY HOPE

'The Hill', which is a very respected organization when it comes to national politics, recently interviewed Craig Foltin, who is running congress in my 13th Ohio Congressional district. As this good article illustrates, Foltin is facing an uphill battle as the 13th district is overwhelmingly Democratic. Sherrod Brown has been our congressman for 14 years now, and has watched this part of the state erode, while doing nothing about. While Foltin is a Republican, he was able to win the job of Mayor in the city of Lorain, a feat that was deemed impossible.

He is respected there and had done alot to better that struggling community. Many Republicans, including myself, see Foltin as an opportunity for the GOP to pick up a much needed spot in congress this year. Foltin is not the most conservative of Republicans, but still will serve our party well if elected. Recent polls show him down to his Democratic challenger Betty Sutton by double-digit margins. But with more than three months left until election day, anything can happen. I hope you will all read this article, because it is very informative and well written.

Just Another Manic Monday

BIAS AT THE DISPATCH?

Some new polls came out today that are rather alarming if ya ask me. Both show the Democrats ahead in the two biggest races that Ohioans will vote for in November. According to the poll, which was conducted by the Columbus Dispatch, Ted Strickland has a 20 point lead over Ken Blackwell in the Governor's race, while Sherrod Brown is beating Mike DeWine by 7 points. For the record, neither Democrat is getting 50% of the vote, and both polls show about 1/4 of those asked are undecided. So what does this mean? Well its not good. I honestly do not think that either is entirely accurate, but regardless people are going to see these polls and use these polls to their advantage. I do believe that Blackwell has an uphill battle, but he should be able to gain alot of ground once the debates begin. About the Senate race, I simply cannot believe that DeWine would be losing this race. Sherrod Brown really has no name recognition in most of Ohio, and he is a far left-wing guy. DeWine should win it easily, so this particular poll doesnt make much sense. The bottom line is that I have a hard time believing that a state that has elected George W. Bush twice would be so willing to vote in such liberal people. That is why Im still confident about November.

As I wrote about yesterday, Condoleeza Rice is in the Middle East trying to work some diplomatic magic to calm down the situation over there. In a shrewd and brilliant move, she made a surprise visit to Beirut today to pledge millions of dollars in aide to that hurting country. She will now go on to Israel to talk with Prime Minister Olmert about their current situation. It seems to me that Condi is more worried about the humanitarian aspects of this conflict, rather that bringing it to an obrupt end. And that is just fine with me. Let them fight.

In today's worst person in the world segment, we honor jackass of the year Keith Olbermann. Olbermann whipped out a mask of Bill O'Reilly at some breakfast party on Saturday, then proceeded to raise his right arm into a Nazi salute. I fully understand why Keith would not like O'reilly, because The Factor's 4 a.m. show gets more viewers than The Countdown's 8 p.m. broadcast. But its not O'Reilly's fault that Keith's show is an unentertaining piece of liberal garbage, with all due respect of course. Nothing like blazing the Hitler salute while Israel is involved in a war to defend itself. Lets hear it for Keith Olbermann's judgement ladies and gentlemen. What a bafooooooooon.

And finally today, the violence in the Middle East continues, with no real end in sight. Israel continues to launch airstrikes and limited ground invasions against Hezbollah strongholds, while the terrorists continue to send missles into Israeli cities. I just wish Israel would land a huge punch to Hezbollah already, but it seems they want to keep going the route of surgical warfare. Well whatever, maybe they know something I dont. Imagine that. Alright Im out, but Ill be back if anything significant happens. Bye.

Condi Goin to the War Zone

I WOULDN'T EXPECT MUCH

President Bush is sending Secretary of State Condi Rice to Israel this weekend. The world seems to be on Bush's butt to do something about the ever escalating situation over there, but so far he has done the right thing and simply stayed out of it. Condi is going over there for PR, and not to get anything done. Why you ask? We have seen over the past 30 years how worthless diplomacy is in that part of the world. Cease-fire after cease-fire has been attempted, and numerous UN resolutions have been passed, but nothing has been accomplished. When will the world realize that negotiating with terrorists simply doesnt work. Madeline Albright to this day is clueless on how to confront the evil of terror. People like her would rather run their mouths than flex their muscle.

The Israeli's on the other hand understand how worthless another arbitrary peace offering would be. They are the ones gettin kidnapped. They are the ones getting blown up by suicide bombers. They are the ones constantly under the threat of rocket attacks from an invisible enemy, whom is being supplied and financed by two enemies of peace whom thus far havent been held accountable by anyone. The rest of the world could learn alot of lessons from Israel. Obviously their geography plays a huge role in their level of aggresivness. But this time, I think they realize that just pushing back Hezbollah wont solve the problem, rather it will only delay they next round of attacks which will definetaly come.

Israel wants peace. Terrorists dont. Until people like Kofi Annan are willing to understand that fact, nothing will be accomplished. Besides the United States, England, and Israel, the world is more than willing to appease terrorists. We see it on a daily basis. If the free world would come together and be as aggresive against terror as Israel is, we wouldnt have this problem. Their would be no nuclear standoff with Iran, or North Korea. Economic interests have become more important than national and global security to more nations. Its a shame, because the problem of terrorism isnt a hard one to solve, yet most are unwilling solve it. Ask yourselves why.

Indians Trade Bob Wickman

FOR ABSOLUTELY FREAKING NOTHING

I want to take a break from politics to discuss a truly pathetic subject...the Cleveland Indians. Today, the Indians traded away their all-time leader in saves to the Atlanta Braves for a single A catcher. Yes, single A. This is just an extension of a pattern we have seen from the tribe over the past decade. They consistantly trade away impact players for a bunch of nobody's. Im sure this catcher they got is a decent young player, but come on, why not just start giving people a way.

The team has been on a downward spiral ever since Larry Dolan took over the team from Dick Jacobs. Most people, including myself from time time, like to blame GM Mark Shapiro for their horrible record, but at the end of the day, the buck stops at the owner. Whats the point in owning a major league team of any kind if you are unwilling to spend the money to get good players. I am not saying we have to spend like Steinbrenner, but at least be willing sign a big name from time to time.

I really wish Dolan would sell the team to someone willing to bring winning baseball back to Cleveland. Maybe we were all spoiled in the late 90's when we had all-stars up and down the batting order. But whatever the case may be, we cannot rely on luck while our division continues to get tougher and tougher. Detroit should be an example to all MLB teams currently near the bottom of the standings. Two years ago they were the worst team in baseball, and now they have the best record. Larry Dolan should take notes, and start spending some dead presidents to buy a winning team, because just praying that a team full of young prospects will get you to the World Series is completely dillusional. Its time for Larry to put up or shut up.

Media: Blame Bush for Everything

I was just watching CNN and they are unbelieveable. Since the liberal media is obviously hesitant to come out and completely condemn Israel for the the violence in the Mid-East, even though most would like to, they once again have decided to lay the blame for everything going on over there on the door steps of the White House. Whether it be the length of time it takes to evacuate Americans from Lebanon, or even the reason for the violence itself, Bush gets the blame.

Its getting quite comical really. The media is up in arms over the fact that Condi Rice wasnt over there the first day a bomb was dropped. This shows the fact that liberals just dont understand how you effectivly fight terrorism in the world. Their obsession with peace has blinded their judgement. Isnt in the interest of the world to let Israel dismantle as much of Hezbollah as possible? Wouldnt that not only help the Israeli's, but also the Lebanese citizens, the same Lebanese citizen they are care so much for. Nobody, including Israel wants to kill innocent people in Beirut and the surrounding areas, but Hezbollah, and terrorists in general as we see in Iraq, have their infrastructure withing major metro areas.

The U.S. is absolutely doing the right thing by letting the Israeli's play this one out for themselves. We really have no right to tell them what the appropriate response is for the acts of terror that have been committed against them. The media in this country does care about that, they are just waiting to jump on anything they possibly can to bash the Bush administration. Like I said earlier, the newest beef is about the evactuations of people out of Lebanon. The media seems to think that getting 5,000 people out of a warzone half way around the world is an overnight process. Remember, this conflict is not even a week old, however according to liberals in the media, we should have already flown each and every person willing to leave outta there. Luckily for us who love this country, and support the president, the blame Bush media is actually losing the fight. Today, the New York Times announced it was cutting about 25% of its workforce...this is no coincidence. The fact that paper has undermind this country and this war has taken a significant toll on that paper and other like it. To them, I say with the utmost respect, naah nah naaaaah nah nah nah.

World Leaders Feel the Heat

WHY I LIKE GEORGE W. BUSH

I took the weekend off from blogging, but I have still been keeping aprised of what is going on in the Middle East. Perhaps the only funny thing about the situation is the way that the leaders of the world, who are gathered in Russia for the G8, are trying to spin the situation. Well, all the leaders except ours that is. President Bush this morning, without his knowledge, said a swear word to Prime Minister Tony Blair while discussing Syria. The media is abuzz about this, I personally just think it was extremely funny. You can watch it here, and I recommend you do. I really wish Bush would talk like this publically, because it is the truth. Here is the exchange:

Blair: Well...its only if I mean...you know. If shes got a..., or if she needs the ground prepared as it were...Because obviously if she goes out, shes got to succeed, if it were, whereas I can go out and just talk.

Bush: You see, the...thing is what they need to do is to get Syria, to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and its over.

Awesome. Sure, Bush didnt know the mic was on, but I still love the candor.

Now, about the actual war. Israel is still pledging no mercy on the enemy until their soldiers are returned. I dont even know if the Israelis are sure those who were captured are still alive. Maybe they know, but I dont. Israel actually sent ground troops into southern Lebanon last night to attack some Hezbollah targets, but the IDF still says that an all out ground attack in Lebanon wont happen. We shall see about that. The conflict continues to heat up, along with the pressure on both sides to stop the fighting. Everyone seems to want to jump to peace, when some of us see an opportunity to cut this snake off at its head. Israel should not relent until they end Hezbollah, and the world should unite behind them by getting rid of the Iranian regime. I know that will never happen, because many world leaders sympothize with the terrorsts, while others are completely impotant, like the United Nations. If you want more on the backround of this violence, read here, so you can understand the severity of the situation, and why it must be dealt with now.

In some other news, the space shuttle Discovery returned this morning safely after almost 2 weeks in space. I have to admit I was wrong, NASA pulled this one together without a problem. I still think that the space program is a waste of time and money because they arent doing anything new, but I am very glad that the astronauts were able to successfully complete their little mission and return home safe and sound.

Another big story today is the freakin heat. Goooooooood Lord its hot. The temp could top out at 96 today in cleveland, with a heat index, which is the heat plus the humidity, could go over 100! Make sure you keep an eye on babies and old people, because they are obviously the most vulnerable in this kind of weather. The forcast shows a bit of a cool down for the rest of the week, but its still gonna be in the upper 80's. Thats about it for now, Ill post again if anything major happens. Stay cool.

The Fight Continues

TIME FOR U.S. INVOLVEMENT?

For a third straight day, the Israeli's and Arab terrorists have traded bombings as no solution appears in sight. The horizon is extremely dark if you are someone who wants this to end peacefully, but for those of you who are like me, and want the Israeli's to spank Hamas, Hezbollah, and any nation who helps and harbor's them, then you're in luck. During the fighting today, an Israeli warship was struck by a Hezballah missile, some crew are reported missing. Meanwhile, Israel was busy doing some bombing of their own, completely distroying the headquarters of Hezbollah in Beirut, but missing the leader of the organization, who said today he is ready to wage an open war against Israel. Of course, Syria pledged their support of Hezbollah, and even French President Jacques Chirac got in on the criticizm of Israel. Chirac is a complete idiot by the way.

Now that you are up to date on the news, let me give you some opinion. I think it is time for the United States to join Israel in the airstrikes against terrorist targets. Hezbollah has long been an enemy of the US, but we have yet to do anything to the group, even after they killed hundreds of marines twenty years ago. These types of groups have been around for far too long without any consequences, and now that the Israeli's are acting, I say we join the fight. I understand the situation in Iraq, and I do not support sending in American ground forces, but we have plenty of aircraft ready and able to hit targets all throughout the effected region. Its time to get tough once and for all. I actually see this as a golden opportunity to give terrorism a serious blow in that part of the world, I just wish the Bush administration was willing to do the right thing in this case. Sure, it wouldnt be popular with the rest of the world, but I say screw 'em, we must defend ourselves and our allies. Lets get down to business.

In some other news, Valerie Plame, whom I briefly mentioned yesterday, is going ahead with a lawsuit against the VP, Karl Rove, and Scooter Libby. She says that the government betrayed her, and now she wants them to pay. First of all, shes out of her mind, and her husband is an even bigger looney. But can I just say quickly that she is very hot! I saw her speaking on TV today and she is a veeeeeery attractive women. Too bad shes out of her mind. But that dont matter.

And finally, a little local news. Mike DeWine's campaign has made a new website called brownvotes.com. Its brilliant. It illustrates just how wrong and out of touch Sherrod Brown is when it comes to the security of our nation and the war on terror, two of the most important issues in the country. Im very pleased with what they are doing, and I hope that everyone will pass it along to expose the truth about Sherrod. We cant let this guy win. Its imperative. Bye.

A Letter From Israel

THE TRUTH FROM THE WARZONE

My girlfriend, who is Jewish, recently went to Israel with some of her college classmates and the guy who was in charge of her group is currently in Israel. His name is Dovev Barak, and he recently sent this dispatch to her from Israel:

If you are wondering what is going on let me tell you the story because Im guessing that the news in the US is not so accurate sometimes...

During the last 3 years a few Israeli town in the south have been attacked by home-made missiles (called 'Kassam') from Gaza. Every day at least 10 missiles or more hit the Israeli town of Sderot.

Three weeks ago three groups of terrorists (including those from Hamas which is backed by Iran) attacked an Israeli outpost close to Gaza by digging a tunnel under the border between Gaza and Israel. They killed two soldiers and kidnapped another demanding the immediate release of 1000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for some information about the kidnapped soldier. According to the Geneva Convention they must allow the Red Cross to visit the soldier but the terrorists havent allowed access.

Yesterday, a group of terrorists from Hezbollah crossed the border into Israel and attacked 2 Israeli Jeeps. The terrorists killed 3 soldiers and kidnapped 2 soldiers. Another 4 soldiers were killed trying to rescue their kidnapped friends when their tank ran over a roadside bomb planted by the Hezbollah terrorists.

Israel, of course, responded by attacking the infrastructure (roads and bridges) in southern Lebanonin order to prevent the terrorists from taking the kidnapped soldiers even farther into Lebanon. Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah told reporters that the two soldiers had been taken to a place "far, far away" and that an Israeli military campaign would not win their release. Hezhollah also fired missiles at towns like Tzfat, Karmiel, and Nahariya.

Today Israel responded again. Firing missiles and rockets from Lebanon or Gaza into Israel terrorists entering Israel and attacking civilians and military personel is an act of war. Israel cant allow another country to attack her and because of that Israel attacked Lebanese strategic locations. Just an hour ago another 2 missiles hit Haifa. So far, two civilians have been killed in those attacks, seven soldiers have been killed, and 2 other soldiers have been kidnapped.

Are we at war? I think we are, although everything continues like normal in the center of Israel. Everyone is going to work although some people are being called up to duty in the Israeli Army reserves.

I know that in the American and European news it seems that Israel is the bad guy and world leaders might be condeming Israel, but honestly, Israel, like the US and any other normal country, cant let its citizens and soldiers be attacked like that. To do nothing would invite the other terrorist organizations to attack.

Busy News Day

HOW THE MIDDLE EAST IS MAKING ME GO BROKE

I wrote about the escalating tensions in Gaza yesterday, but now we are going to feel the effects here in Ohio. As no surprise to any of us, oil has begun to riiiiiiiiiiise because of 'tensions' in the Middle East. Is it just me, or does everything in the world effect the price of oil? It is seriously getting out of control. With that said, the price of crude is approaching an all time high of $77 per barrel, because of problems in an area where we get not one drop of oil. But I guess that doesnt matter anymore. As far as military operation in Israel are going, they have bombed an airport in Lebanon and Hezbollah has appearently retaliated by launching a missile into a highly populated Israeli city. Both sides are now beginning to take prisoners as the situation continues to spiral out of control. Dont expect an end to this anytime soon, but prepare yourself for even higher gas prices, yipppppie.

Besides all that fun, President Bush was in Germany today feasting on wild bor with the new chancellor of Germany, who has become quite a good friend of W's. This is just a small stop on his way to the G8 Summit in Russia, where the leaders of the world will have to tackle some extremely tough issues, but dont expect much to get accomplished. I expect alot to be praised in public, with alot of bitching in private, with little coming in the way of solutions since most world leaders cant agree on anything.

Back in the states, Democrats continue to make asses of themselves by running a campaign add showing the flag draped coffins of KIA US troops. Republicans are outraged, as most of the country should be, but dont expect anyone in the media to hold the Dems accountable for using poor taste, since most in the media agree with them. We can only hope that everyday Americans, especially those moderate among us, will finally see the Democrats for who they are, a bunch of whiney losers who complain about everything while offering no answers.

Finally, just coming over the wire as I type these magnificent words, CNN is reporting that Valerie Plame is suing Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and Scooter Libby, evidentally over the fact that she was allegedly outed as a covert agent for the CIA, which she was not. This whole thing has gotten so political its pathetic, and now that Patrick Fitzgerald has no case against anyone because nobody did anything wrong, Mrs. Plame is going to take matters into her own hands. Another War in the Middle East

HERE WE GO AGAIN

As I sit here and type this to you, Israeli war planes are probably bombing the crap out of Palestinian targets in Gaza City. This is in response to the Hezbollah report that they have captured a couple more Israeli soldiers. Remember, it was the capturing of a lone Israeli soldier that started this latest set back in peace back on June 25th. This war seems to me like it could be a very big deal. On one side, you obviously have the Israeli's who will mostly have to go it alone, but have the resources to do so. On the other side, you have the Palestinians and Hamas, who are funded and helped by terror groups like Hezbollah and the Governments of Syria and Iran.

I hope that this entire ordeal can be solved peacefully and diplomatically, but everyday seems to prove the contrary as hostile actions continue by both sides. Inevitibly, the United States will be sucked into this if the situation continues to deteriorate. Once again, we will do the right thing and defend Israel, as they are surrounded by enemies not only to them, but also to the USA. However, this conflict could have an effect on our efforts in Iraq, and as of now Im not sure if the effect will be positive or negative. It could be a positive turn of events if the terrorists see a bigger threat in Gaza and give up on Iraq, but that is specuation on my part. The biggest variable right now in this entire thing is Iran. The leaders of that country have expressed their ambitions to wipe Israel off the map, so these latest events could be very telling. If Iran gets involved publically, I believe the United States will have no other option but to intervene. I do not think that the president will let Israel go it alone against those idiots, but I could be wrong.

It seems that war has all but begun once again between the Israeli's and the Muslims in the holy land. Their inability to get along, after everything Israel has given to the Palestinians completely baffles me. The tide turned when Hamas won big in the most recent election over there, and most who study that part of the world would probably tell you that this type of aggressive action was only a matter of time. The terror groups over there just cannot let Israel alone, and now they will have to face the wrath of one of the strongest military's in the entire world. Go Israel.

The Rage Over Minimum Wage

MY TAKE

Ive been told that Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and other have recently been in Ohio complaining about the current rate of the minimum wage in American. Evidentally, some grassroots groups right here in the Buckeye state have been planning to take matter into their own hands and get legislation passed in the state legislature to raise the wage. Clinton and Edwards are in the camp, like the majority of the Democratic Party, which says that having a low minimum wage hurts tons of working families in this country and blah blah blah. For those of you who dont know, the minimum wage is currently $5.15 and has been since 1997.

In my opinion, the minimum wage should be extremely low, to give people an incentive for actually getting a good education which will allow them to make more money to support them and their families. I do understand that not everyone is cut out for higher education, but those people can still learn a trade at a vocational school which will be much to their benefit. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics says that more than 80% of people making the minimum wage have no dependents, meaning the obvious, that most are teenage kids. Trust me, if your are middle aged with children and your making minimum wage, you probably have many other problems unrelated to anything Im talking about here.

This whole debate has a eerie existance of hypocracy if I say so myself. Remember how the Democrats always moan about how Republicans use issues like gay marriage and flag burning just to rally their base around election time? Well that is exactly what the Dems are doing here. Minimum wage has been a constant issue of their platform since is was instituted by FDR, and now they are using it to get themselves much needed votes for the upcoming election. Its a loser now and always has been. I dont think that many people making minimum wage who are over the age of 18 vote in huge numbers, but I guess I could be wrong. Probably not though.

Here is what I suggest: I personally would support raising the minimum wage, but only to $5.65 tops. With gas prices where they are and inflation rates rising, even high school kids should be able to enjoy themselves and their paychecks a little more. Plus they tend to spend money like crazy, which in it of itself helps the overall economy. I however do not, and will never support raising it to $6.85, which is where the likes of Hillary wants it. Thats way too much and will cause a lot of inflation just by itself. It would be nice if the Democrats tried it my way, instead of trying to lie to the American people by telling them that a low minimum wage hurts countless families in this country, which again just aint true. Im not really worried about this entire issue though, with Republicans in control of basically the entire country, I wouldnt invision any raise in the minimum wage in the very near future. Yet another reason why we must prevail on November 7th, 2006. Dont let these people ruin the economy the Bush administration created.

Lieberman Under Attack

SUCKS TO BE HIM

I kinda feel bad for Joe Lieberman. I actually like the guy, I think he is one of the very few Democrats in congress who is thinking clearly and also has a mind of his own. Maybe it makes me a hypocrit though, considering that Im not a fan of John McCain, while the two are very similar on their respective sides of the isle. I watched the debate the other night on MSNBC between Lieberman and his extremely liberal opponent Ned Lamont. To me, Lamont came off to be extremely fake. The man is obviously running as a left wing looney because he believes he can get the support of the other left wing loonies in Connecticut, whom Lieberman has alienated by taking the correct stand on the Iraq war.

Obviously, Iraq is the defining issue in the campaign. Other than Iraq, Lieberman pretty much follows the Democratic party line. What I have found very interesting about this race is the fear of other elected Democrats to publically support Lieberman. John Kerry, who wants to run for president in 2008 as the liberal candidate, refuses to support his friend. To me, that just proves how big of a tool that John Kerry truly is. All the man cares about is politics and himself, which is why he will never be our president, thank God.

My vast political knowledge very rarely lets me down, and I think I will be right by saying that Joe Lieberman will win the Senate race from his own state. Im not sure if he will survive the primary, but if he has to run as an independent, which he says he will, I think he will prevail. Im just curious about the Republican candidate in the race and whether or not that person has any chance of winning if Lieberman and Lamont end up splitting the Democratic vote in November. Wouldnt that be an interesting change of events?! By the way, primary day is August 8th, I believe, in Connecticut, so stay tuned.

North Korea 1, USA 0

WHO'S THE BOSS?

Yesterday, the North Korean's decided to defy the United States, and the world I guess, by test launching a bunch of missiles capable of carrying a nuclear warhead, and one that could potentially hit the continental US. Oh by the way, they conveniently picked the 4th of July to do their little test. The president and the UN were extremely quick to react to this news by immediately issuing statements condeming the tests and blah blah blah. What everyone failed to do was come up with a plan to either punish the North Korean's or send them a strong warning not to do something like this again. I dont know how many times we can make these pointless and worthless threats while expecting psycho leaders, like those in North Korea, to take us seriously.

Let me first say that I believe most are overreacting about his news. I do not think that the Korean's have capabilities to hit the United States from thousands of miles away. With that said, if I lived in South Korea or Japan, Id probabaly be much more concerned. Furthermore, I do not believe even Lil' Kim has the balls to use a nuclear weapon against an ally of the United States of America. At most, the guy might have 5-10 nukes, compared to our 1,300+. Suffice it to say, in the event of a nuclear conflict, I dont like his chances.

Now, here is what I think we should do since the North Korean's made the first move. We cannot sanction these people anymore. I know that the UN loves sanctions because it gets them off the hook without having ever do anything tough, but this situation is beyond that. The North Korean people have already suffered greatly under the current regime, basically they cannot get any poorer. Knowing that, we must be willing to use our muscle rather than our mouths. If I was the president, unbenounced to anyone, I would get about two dozen F-16's together, in attack formation, and let them breeze by Pyongyang at a slow rate of speed. Let the moronic leaders over there see for themselves that they can be annihilated in a matter of seconds with simple conventional weapondry. And, if they decide to try and shoot one of our planes down, give the pilots the green light to destroy any hostile air defense systems they might utilize. In other words, let them shoot first. We are the the United States of America for crying out loud and we should be allowed to intimidate these jerks if we want to. As I said, this should be a covert operation, but if the news does come out, you can bet that the rest of the world would complain about how we are the bullies in the world. But then Id say to them, would you prefer, a strong United States who bullied a country into submission, or a potential nuclear war? Sounds simple you might say, but common sense seems to be a thing of the past in the rhelm of international relations.

NASA Scrubbs Discovery...Again

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I dont know about you, but the space program as a whole today really doesnt make much sense. It seems to me that the risks out weigh the rewards here in 2006, and in my opinion, NASA should either focus completely on the future, or call it quits altogether. Its a shame that it has come to this, but when the Columbia decintagrated into the morning sky three years ago, it really put the space program into persepective. Is it worth the lives of seven or eight brave people just to go into space and orbit the earth? Americans have been orbiting the earth since the late 1950's, so what is really the point? We spend billions and billions of dollars a year on NASA, and unless they use that money on more uselful projects, I think the congress should simply cut them off.

The American space program used to be the envy of the world. During the 1960's, from Mercury, to Gemini, and especially during the Apollo years, we were utilizing our resources to reach an objective, which was to go to the moon. There is no such objective today, and we need one. I have heard talks about maybe going back to the moon, which I would support. There are even rumors of attempting to go to Mars, which I would strongly support. When the Apollo 1 astronauts died during a test, they died because we were on a mission. But now it doesnt seem to me like we have any mission at all. People say that space travel can never become routine, well, I honestly think it has. Too routine and far too dangerous.

In my opinion, NASA should just retire the shuttle project completely, and take the next decade to focus on going someplace. Nobody would mind if they did such a thing because we could all once again be galvonized by the brilliance of distant space travel. For those of you who dont know about it, go back and read about the space program of the 1960's, and how excited America was when we first orbited the earth, then orbited the moon, then finally landed on the moon almost 37 years ago. Space travel should be a game of firsts, but it hasnt been in nearly three decades. I direct you to the book "Lost Moon" by astronaut Jim Lovell, who was on the famous Apollo 13 mission. It really illustrates the NASA in those days, and shows much things have changed. I ask you all this question, and please leave comments, do you think what NASA does today, is worth the lives of our astronauts?

Meet the Press Recap

REDEMPTION

Whoa...this weeks Meet the Press was amazing. It had gotten very stale over the past few weeks, with Tim Russert just basically having on Democrats and letting them spew out their talking points. But this week Russert was gone, and Andrea Mitchell was the guest host, and she did a marvelous job. The first segment pitted Senators Mitch McConnell and Chuckie Schumer against one another. Mrs. Mitchell grilled Schumer for almost the entire half hour, it was great. McConnell basically just sat there and let her have him, as everything that Chuckie was saying became red meat for the inquisitive Mitchell. The Quote of the day had to have been when Schumer, discussing Hillary Clinton's presidential asperations said that right now she is focused on simply running for the Senate of the United States of New York. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

The second segment was about the New York Times and their irresponisible reporting. Bill Bennett was the only conservative, with three other panelists. But Bill held his ground against the other three whiners who want to protect the press from any accountability. The people in the media basically think that they are above the law, and Bennett proved that brilliantly by just letting them talk. The best part about the whole thing is that everytime they get a chance to defend themselves, they just galvonize conservatives who will defeat them and their ideology in November. I almost felt bad for Bennett, but then I thought to myself that it would be great to go against a panel of people who think the way that liberal journalists do, because it makes people like us and Bennett look that much smarter, and even more American. Bennett did a great job.

I really suggest if you didnt get to see the show this morning, you go here and watch it, or read the transcript if you have a few hours. Again, Andrea Mitchell did a great job and Id love to see more of her on MTP in the future. It was great entertainment.

The Wall Street Journal Explains Itself

SOME REAL HONEST REPORTING

By now, everyone knows about the whole New york Times, LA Times, and Wall Street Journal bru-ha-ha over the publishing of a secret anti-terror measure even after the government had asked them not to do it. But finally, a single newspaper who ran the story is explaining itself with dignity. The Wall Street Journal is considered a much more conservative paper when compared to the likes of the New York Slimes, so many people were confused when they saw this story show up on their newspages. Also, many in the liberal media have bitched about the fact that those upset about the declassification of the SWIFT program have only blamed the New York Times and not the Wall Street Journal because of political bias.

Well, thats just not true. The WSJ does bare some responsibility for running the story. However, the New York Times deserves the brunt, because it was their reporting that leaked all the classified information and it was their editor who was called by numerous people inside the White House and members of congress including vocal war critic and resident looney Jack Murtha. The New York Times, on their own, decided to bypass everyone and go with the story because in their own distorted minds, they know whats best for this country. Since they went ahead with this mistake, a backlash has ensued that might have finally been the tipping point in the irresponsiblitiy of the mainstream media over the past five years.

As I said before, the Wall Street Journal is the first paper to express any sort of regret for publishing the story, and I for one take them at their word. You can read their explanation here, and I suggest you do because it gives a very good summary of all the events that lead up to the publishing of the story. By the way, the House of Representatives today passed a resolution 227-183 condeming the newsmedia for endangering the lives of Americans by their rogue reporting, and I hear the Senate is going to do something similar in the very near future. Its about time we take a stand America.

Supreme Court Rules Against Bush

DONT PANIC JUST YET

This morning, the Supreme Court said that the terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, and remember these people are terrorists, cannot be tried in military tribunals, which basically means that they must be tried like they were American citizens. Read the story here. However, in the court decision, it says that the president did overstep his bounds as commander-in-chief, but they also said that if congress were to pass legislation saying that the people in GITMO should be tried like military combatants, then that would be just fine. As soon as that was known, Republican senators were already getting together to introduce some legislation to do just that.

Of course, the media was abuzz with this news. Remember, liberals absolutely hate what we are doing in Cuba, so to them, this was a huge victory while being an enormous defeat for the Bush administration. What I said in the first paragraph rebukes that obscene notion. But its ok, let them think they have won this one so that when congress acts accordingly, it will be even sweeter to see them go completely looney, even more looney than they already are.

Now, on to the logistics of this decision. Firstly, once again allow me to reiterate the fact that I just dont get all the fuss over Guantanamo. Why do regular people care so much about the fact that we lock up terrorists that we find on the battlefield. We must do things like this to protect ourselves against future attacks both in this country and against our troops. Many liberals talk about how much the detention camp has hurt our credibility around the world...WHO FREAKIN CARES! This isnt their country or their war to run. We were hit, not them, so they should just shut up about it and let us do our job. What we are doing in the war on terror does not effect France of Germany. We dont tell them how to run their business so they should keep their stinkin noses out of ours. Furthermore, if we cannot detain terrorists captured in battle then what good are our troops? Should they be risking their lives to fight an enemy that gets more sympathy than they do? If this decision is upheld, then maybe our troops should just kill every person they capture. That would solve the problem, would it not? You decide.

I hope that the congress will do what it has to do in this case so we can continue to win our war. One good thing that came out of this whole thing is that this will undoubtedly rally the conservative base behind the president. This latest BS, plus the New York Slimes debacle, is helping the GOP more than we could have ever wished. I am becoming more confident every time something like this happens that we will be just fine in the November elections. I think that most of the American people are smart enough to see how those on the left are seriously trying to ruin this country. Hopefully, im not giving people too much credit, but I dont think I am. We must win this war, Ive said it a million times, but everyday it is getting harder and harder, and that is scary, veeeeeeeery scary. Remember, we havent been hit in almost five years, ask yourselves why.

NBA Draft Tonight

WHAT THE CAVS SHOULD DO

The Cavs are very close to being an extremely talented basketball team. They are stacked in some areas of the game, but also leave much to be desired in others, important others. For one, the Cavs must, and its a very big must, address the fact that they have nobody on the team able to consistantly hit the three point shot. Yes, Donyell Marshall hit a few big shots from beyond the arc last year, but not nearly enough, plus he is not even a started and hes about 6'-10". Basically waht Im getting at is that the Cavs need to draft a point guard tonight who can call the play but can also score from outside. We need a shooter. Eric Snow just isnt a scorer, which serously hurts the team in my eyes.

I dont know enough about individual players to give you a name on who the Cavs should choose with their 25th overall pick, but above is the outline they should use when picking. Unfortunetaly, I do not think the Cavaliers will be able to draft someone who can make us a championship caliber team in the near future. They need to go out an sign a big named veteran to back up LeBron and score at least 20 points per game. If you notice, almost all great teams have at least two talented, all-star players who can carry the team. Look at Jordan and Pippen, Shaq and Kobe, now Shaq and D-Wade, who I think is amazing. Or a team could go the route of the Detroit Pistons and completely stack your entire starting lineup with all-star players, but thats like guessing where lighting will strike. I have heard rumors that Kevin Garnett is a free agent, and he would be perfect for the Cavs. But could we afford him is another matter considering the millions the Cavs are planning on offering LeBron on July 1st.

All in all, the draft should be pretty interesting tonight. Another side note is Olmsted Falls native West Virginia star Mike Gansey, who plans on getting drafted late tonight. I have a bit of history with Gansey, as his O-Falls bulldogs knocked my Avon Lake Shoremen out of the bball playoffs back in 2001. Mike and graduated in the same year, and even though I hated how good he was back then, I truly hope someone picks him up tonight. He has always been an underdog, but has always shined when given the chance. Maybe the Cavs will take a gamble with the home town kid, ya never know. Amendment to ban Flag Burning Fails...

BY ONE LOUSY STINKIN' VOTE

Well this one was a kick in the nuts. 66 Senators, including a number of Democrats, voted to do the right thing and allow the congress to ban the desecration of the Stars and Stripes. Once again, the usually suspects, mostly liberals, voted down this amendment. Im not sure exactly why though, I mean wouldnt stopping flag burning also help curb global warming? Two Republicans and even Joe Lieberman voted no on this one, which came as a shock to me. But in Joe's case, I guess when your at risk of losing a primary back home, you have to play the game of politics to survive. The two GOP senators ought to be ashamed of themselves for voting against this bill. Here is the list of those who dont want to protect the flag of our country, which symoblizes everything this nation has stood for over the last 230 years.

The fact that 66 senators voted for this thing proves to me that once again the liberal media in this country was wrong, and that this wasnt done just for politica posturing. All I heard from the pundits on TV was how much the senate is wasting its time with things like flag burning and gay marriage when they should be concentrating on the real important things going on in our country today. Gimme a freakin break. Those are probably two of the most heatedly debated issues by the American public, because almost everyone has an opinion on them. Not to mention that more than 70% of the American people think burning the flag should be illegal, but I guess that doesnt mean anything to most Democrats.

This flag burning vote proves how much the Democrats are out of touch with middle American. Lets see now, the Democratic Party favors flag burning, gay marriage, cutting and running from Iraq, no more oil drilling in the United States nor the opening of any new refineries, no domestic wiretapping or spying on terror suspects financial records to keep people safe....and these people think they can win elections? The United States of America is a moderately conservative nation, and until the Democratic Party can realize that, the will never be successful, even with all they help they get from media and Hollywood. I cant say Im complaining, they single-handedly do more to help the GOP than anyone could hope for. Now I know why they are the party of jack-asses...or wait thats a donkey, excuse me.

whoever, in time of war, with intent that the same shall be communicated to the enemy, shall collect, record, publish or communicate, or attempt to elicit any information with respect to the movement, numbers, description, condition, or disposition of any of the armed forces, ships, aircraft, or war materials of the United States, or with respect to the plans or conduct, or supposed plans or conduct of any naval of military operations, or with respect to any works or measures undertaken for or connected with, or intended for the fortification of any place, or any other information relating to the public defence, which might be useful to the enemy, shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for not more than thirty years.

The above is proof that the leaders of this nation new how to win wars in the past, while also proving how scared current politicians are today in confronting a dangerous media. This goes all the way to the top. People always accuse me of being a Bush apologist and all that BS, well let me be the first to say that I believe he is a wimp when it comes to confronting the media, which single-handedly has caused the problems in his presidency. Now maybe he, like the rest of us, will finally strike back at these people once and for all. Wake up America.

Treason Doth Never Prosper

PROSECUTE THE NEW YORK TIMES

New York congressman Peter King is calling on the Bush administration to investigate and even prosecute those involved in the leaking of yet another important anti-terror measure. This isnt the first time its happened, and if nobody acts, it wont be the last. I agree 100% with congressman King that Congress must get involved in this, because it involves the security of every single American citizen. So far however, we have once again only heard tough talk from the President, who today called the printing of the article in the New York Times a "disgrace." President Bush is absolutely right, it is a disgrace, but it will be another disgrace if our government fails to protect itself against this out of control media.

I fully understand that we have freedom of the press in this country, and that is very important. The founding fathers were right to put that into the Bill of Rights, because in most cases, the media does hold people in power accountable, which is necessary. But even with the freedom of the press, there are still lines that must be drawn when it comes to what they can and cannot say, especially during a time of war. One must realize that the people who wrote and published this story did it for mostly political reasons. Anyone with half a brain can see that the NYT continuosly attempts to bash the president and his policies in their newspaper on a daily basis. And it has costed them much in the way of subscriptions over the past five years or so. But, those writers in NYC must be willing to put aside their political hatrid and realize what they are doing is extremely dangerous. The government repeatedly asked the NYT to not print this story, along with the one about the NSA wiretapping program, but in both cases they ignored those calls.

The government, who up till now, has given the press basically a free pass time and time again, has got to stand up to this growing bully. Legislation should be passed that says during a time of war, if the government asks a news organization not to print a story on information that is deemed top secret, they must do so or face criminal prosecution. Furthermore, those who originally leaked the info should be tried for treason, which carries a penalty a little on the stiff side if you know what I mean. If we continue to allow this to happen, we can never be safe, and thats the God's honest truth.

I sure hope that the Attorney General will persue this case, because what has been done is in violation of the law. I also hope that if, God forbid, the United States does see a terror attack on our soil in the near future, that people in this country lay the blame where it belongs, on the doorstep of the New York Times, LA Times and others, because are government is finally doing its job by tracking the enemy by any means necessary, while media outlets consistantly give the enemy our tactics because of a tyrannical political agenda. When are the American people finally going to rise up and say enough is enough. I sure hope this is it, because if it isnt, prepare to see the blood of innocent Americans spewed all over the streets of New York, Chicago, LA....

Propaganda Doesnt Take A Weekend

DEMS CONTINUE TO BURY THEMSELVES

Leaders of the Democratic Pary didnt take the weekend off. They were all over the country, on talk shows and other more intimate gatherings showing their true colors about the most important issues facing our great country today. Congressman Jack Murtha, who has been psychotic in his opposition to the war in Iraq, decided to take the time to say that the United States is more dangerous to the security of the world than either Iran or North Korea. Aint that nice? This type of nonsense is to be expected from brainwashed Europeans, but not from an American congressman, let alone a man who is a former Marine. Murtha was one of the first people to come out an convict other marines who were accused of murdering innocent civilians in Haditha, Iraq last year, without knowing any of the details. The case is still pending, but Murtha decided to forget due process and make the case against the marines infront of the world. The military is always guilty til proven innocent, right Jack?

Besides Murtha's stupidity, Senator Russ Feingold was on 'Meet The Press' this morning. Im not sure why, but MTP has become basically a Democratic talk show in recent weeks. Last week they had Murtha on, by himself, to discuss Iraq, and this week they has Feingold on, again alone, to discuss many issues. I guess dissent isnt such a good thing to those people. This to me proves how cowardly many of these people are, especially Murtha, who wont give an interview to anyone unless he knows he will be thrown a bunch of softball questions. But Feingold, who wants to be president, was on this morning and said many interesting things, none of which being correct. He made excuses for why John Kerry's amendement to pull troops out of Iraq now only got 13 votes, saying that those who voted against it are out of touch with the American public. Riiiiiiiight. Maybe its because John Kerry is a baffoon. Or, maybe they didnt get the votes because they have no idea how to wage a successful war, which me must win. Maybe its because the American people mostly realize that we cant cut and run, like the Democratic Party wants us to do. But Feingold remains convinced that his small group of detractors are right, and everyone else is wrong, and thats fine.

Im very glad that these talk shows are letting the Democrats have the microphone week in and week out, because them running their mouths helps the GOP more so than if our guys were out there. The lack of wisdom, the hatred for those who disagree with them, and the fact they have no alternative solutions for anything will be crucial for voters going to the polls in November. With the media in their pockets, the Democrats should win huge this year, but they will once again implode by simply being who they are. Its always fun to watch these people, and I believe they will only get more crazy as we get closer to election day. So to all of you political junkies out there, I simply say, enjoy the show.

MEANWHILE...ANOTHER VICTORY FOR BUSH

The arrest of seven scumbags in Miami who were plotting to blow up the Sears Tower among other targets could not have come on a better day considering what the New York Times decided to publish this morning. The New York paper wrote a story about how the government is tracking terrorist cells by watching their financial transactions. Of course, most liberals are once again irate because of another obvious invasion of privacy created by the evil Bush administration. But most level-headed Americans realize that actions like these are crucial if we want to keep ourselves safe from people like those apprehended in Miami last night.

I just dont understand why the media continuosly wants to weaken the governments ability to prevent terror attacks here in the states. I fully realize their utter contempt and hatred for President Bush, but why does that persuade them to put every single citizen at risk. I watched the White House press breifing this morning and the press corps was going nuts over this program. Tony Snow, who I love by the way, did a great job of defending the program saying how much it has benefitted the anti-terror effort since just after September 11th. But thats not good enough for those people on the left, who have no clue on how to keep this country safe, just ask Bill Clinton.

Now, on to the arrest of the Miami seven. This is nothing more than a huge victory for the president and all the anti-terror measures he has enacted over the past five and a half years. Obviously, all the secret spy programs the government is using work, hence the reason we have not been his over here since 9/11. Something that no one thought was possible. This is why the president needs to be applauded for keeping us safe, and doing his job, even when unpopular. I feel we are all truly blessed to have a leader who is willing to do anything he possibly can to prevent us from seeing more pictures of innocent Americans jumping from 110 story buildings. The media will never give President Bush credit for this, but he deserves it. So do all the men and women who work in the CIA and FBI, and all other governmental agencies involved in tracking and hunting down suspected terrorists. These are the groups that failed us leading up to 9/11, but they seem to have gotten their acts together, and for that we should all be thankful.

I hope there will be a backlash against the media for all of their treasonous whistleblowing. If the President of the United States asks a media organization to not print a story because it could jeopordize national security, they should always listen. I turn you all to Michelle Malkin's website, because she has a number of posters from WWII showing that they faced the same threat as we do now, but back then, people realized those threats. Today however, we have media who is more preoccupied with hurting politicians, rather than protecting the people. Its turned into a very dangerous business, and I would like congress to act on this issue. They should pass legislation holding media outlets responsible for their actions during war time, because giving out government secrets allowing the enemy to see them is treason. Plain and simple. We cant let the traitors at the New York Times and LA times, among others, give this type of information to the enemy. If we continue to remain silent, the media will eventually have the blood of thousands, potentially even millions of innocent Americans on their hands. Its up to us to prevent that from happening.

THEY STILL DONT GET IT

I guess two world wars, the attempted extermination of an entire race, and the threat of nuclear annihilation hasnt learned our "friends" in Europe anything over the past century. They still have no idea how to handle a significant threat, and they still rely on the United States to bail them out of every major problem that might end up smacking them in their ugly, smelly faces. If you think Im full of beans here, merely go back and look at the press conference that President Bush was involved in yesterday in Austria. I swear that I have never heard so many stupid questions in all my life, and thats saying alot for someone like myself who follows closely the media here in the US. One particular ignoramice who somehow got access to the microphone yesterday asked the president if he thinks that US foreign policy is the biggest threat to global security, citing a poll taking in Europe that shows that most Europeans think the US is more of a threat than either Iran or North Korea.

Now, I have no idea if that poll is true, nor do I care. Just the fact that this idiot had the balls to ask the President of the United States such nonsense says alot of Europe as a whole. The president by the way eloquently told the reporter that his question was 'absurd.' I did a research paper this past semester on the foreign policy of the European Union, and my thesis was basically that there isnt one. They would like to get their act together over there to challenge the US on the worlds stage, but as of now they are completely weakened both in political will and in military capabilites. Even if the EU could muster up a military force, they would never deploy them. They just do not see a threat in terrorism. As a matter of fact, many of them, like Jack Chirac over in Paris, are terror sympthizers. Yet, many in this country say that we have alienated our allies in Europe by invading Iraq.

Well, I personally have no problem in alienating a man who was in bed with Saddam Hussein by aiding Hussein in the oil-for-food scandal. Liberals seem to think that Europe has all the answers. Remember the Kerry campaign in 2004? All he talked about was our allies and how we need them in the war on terror. He basically said that because Europe wasnt on board in the war it was the wrong thing to do. I beg to differ John. Just because they are not willing to help us fight global terror and Islamo-fascism, does not mean we should just stop. Europe didnt want to fight Nazi-fascism back in the 1930's, and we had to bail them out which costed us more than 400,000 American lives.

Luckily for the world, there are certain leaders in Europe who understand what we are up against. Men like Tony Blair, and the Prime Minister of Denmark, give me hope that some Europeans have what it takes to do the right thing, even if their political careers faulter because of it. I would like to see a poll done in the United States on how American feel about Europeans, because that is a story that is never reported. We always hear about how much they dont like us, like it really matters. Im willing to bet that most Americans think that Europeans are weak and inept, which is the absolute truth. Im also willing to bet that you will never see a poll like this done, go figure.

Finally, dont think for a second that the only reason the Europe doesnt like us is the war or the Bush administration. The fact is that they have been jealous of the United States for years. Cant say I blame them really, it must be intimidating living in a world where a single nation is so much more powerful than all the rest. They should simply embrace American supremacy instead of constantly undermining it or openly trying to create its downfall. The EU is nothing more than Europe trying to balance US hegemony, but its to no avail. You cant create a world superpower with only huge sums of money and a huge bureacracy. Our supremacy is 230 years in the making, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Sorry Europe.

WMD Found in Iraq?

COULD IT BE TRUE??

A newly declassified report claims that the US has found 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since the war started in March of 2003. This could potentially be huge if its true. I have been looking around the internet to see who is covering the story and who is not. Oddly enough, Foxnews does have the story on their website, but neither CNN or PMSNBC even mention the report. Says alot doesnt it.

To be honest, I dont really know much about this story. I dont really know why, if its true, hasnt the president been touting this finding as proof to once and for all justify the invasion of Iraq. I just dont get that. Anyway, read it for yourselves, and hopefully we will all hear more about this story in the very near future.

Perspective of the 2 Tortured Soldiers

SOME TRUTH

Regardless of how you feel about the war in Iraq, your heart has to break when you hear of two US soldiers being captured, tortured, then executed at the hands of the enemy. I truly feel for their families. This unfortunate incident is now fueling calls to end the war and bring the troops home. Many Democrats in the Senate are now trying to get a vote on some proposed timetables for troop withdrawls, or as they now call it, "redeployment."

If anything, what happened to these soldiers should only embolden the belief that we must defeat these barbarians in Iraq. It must also show that we cannot allow ourselves to become weakened by the anti-war libs and media. Im telling all of you right now that we will not succeed in this war if we continue fighting it on the defensive. We are the most powerful nation in the history of the world for cryin out loud, but we sure as hell arent acting like it. The President and his war officials must now realize that we cannot continue to be nice to either the enemies or critics of this war, as its victory is essential for us all.

I understand that seeing people die is difficult. I hate it. But this is a war, just like WWII or the Civil War, and in those days you did whatever it took to achieve victory, and victory meant winning the war, not pulling troops out because of political pressure or any other arbitrary reason. Luckily in those days, there was no media questioning and undermining every single decision made, or reporting more on our military's few mistakes instead of their hundreds of successes. The critics of this war are complete and total hypocrits in most cases. This point is illustrated by the events of yesterday, where not one human rights group has condemed what happened to our soldiers. They only whine when its the US who allegedly did something wrong. Here is a paragraph by a man named Jeff Emanuel about this subject:

Interestingly silent in this and other atrocities carried out by the insurgents in Iraq are the "human rights" groups who seem to spend every day accusing the United States of torture, war crimes, and various human rights violations. UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has called the Iraq War "Illegal," and John Pace, former UN chief of Human Rights for Iraq, has said that hyuman rights conditions are "as bad now as they were under Saddam," but was it America that filled mass graves with hundreds of thousands of murdered Iraqi Civilians? Last month, Human Rights Watch again accused the US of "brutalizing Muslim suspects in the name of the war on terror," but how many times of Americans strapped bombs to their own chests and purposely detonated themselves in a large crowd of civilians? Amnesty International's website highlights America's use of "torture or other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment" against terrorist captives, but how many prisoners -- Muslim or otherwise -- have Americans brutally beheaded?

Thats exactly right, and Im tired of everyone trying to be nice. Personally, I dont really care if we torture suspected terrorits, I think they deserve it. Remember a few weeks ago when a couple of terrorists killed themselves at GITMO, I applauded their effort. I think that all terrorits should just go ahead and kill themselves. It will save the rest of us alot of trouble. I have no sympathy for people who behead and blowup innocent lives. Its competely absurd that the US has to answer to these idiots around the world who have no idea how to defeat Muslim extremists. To them I say, SCREW YOU! Screw Kofi Annan, Screw John Kerry and John Murtha, Screw the Human Rights Watch, the International Red Cross, and Amnesty International, Screw Cindy Sheehan and her clan of anti-American cohorts who want to see the demise of this great country, and lastly, Screw the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, the BBC, and every other liberal news service that actively partcipates in helping the enemy during this war. Screw them all I say, and lets start fighting this war to win it, not to win the hearts and minds of people who dont deserve our sympathy. Lets win this war the way we have won wars of the past, by blowing stuff up and showing the enemy who is superior. To use an analogy, right now the United States is involved in a fist fight but is only using one pinky.

Allow me to reiterate, we must win the war before pulling the troops out. The consequences would be catastrophic. We are making progress over there, and we will continue to. Yes, there will still be American casualties, but this is a war. We lost more than 400,000 in World War II, and I dont think any person would say that their sacrifice wasnt worth it. We are once again involved in a world war, terrorism is just as dangerous as fascism, and we must start acting like it. Its time to take the gloves off like past generations did, with no regrets. Let the military do its job and win the war before they come home. V-I Day could be here before you know it, but first, I say again, lets Win the War.

Poll Says Hillary gets NO vote for 2008

A new poll done by CNN of all people shows just how unlikeable Hillary Clinton really is.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely not vote for "both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004.

Forty-eight percent said the same of former Vice President Al Gore, who has repeatedly denied he intends to run again for president.

Among the Republicans, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani fared better than the Democrats, and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush fared worse.

Ok, this obviously does not look good for the Dems if all of their big names in the running for Prez in '08 get ratings like these. But nobody should be surprised by these numbers, considering the political history of the people on the list and also their character. This is why I believe Republicans will be ok in 2006 because our opponents are just pathetic. Even with the media on their side, feeding the American people Democratic talking points on a daily basis, they still have no plans or ideas. Thank God for the inept Democratic Party.

Murtha Spews Propoganda on Meet The Press

I watched congressman John Murtha yesterday on Meet The Press, and is was disgusting. Tim Russert barely questioned anything Murtha said during his numerous tirades over the half hour he was on the show. Murtha continued to denounce the war and said over and over again that we should 'redeploy' our troops to a periphery. Redeploy is rhetoric for cut and run, and he never said where exactly we should put our troops. Only saying that Kuwait and Qatar would be possible choices. Here is what the Wall Street Journal says of his plans:

As for Mr. Murtha's proposal that U.S. forces should redeploy to some nearby part of the Middle East, this is merely disguise for what everyone would understand was a defeat in Iraq. Anyone who doubts it should merely listen to Mr. Murtha, who said again yesterday on NBC's Meet The Press that "We cant win a war like this." Its more accurate to say that our troops have a harder time winning a war with political leaders as inconstant as Mr. Murtha, who voted to commit U.S. troops but now lacks the will to finish the job.

Thats exactly right. In fact, Tim Russert did bring up a passage from Murtha's own book from 2004, which says this:

"A war initiated on faulty intellegence must not be followed by a premature withdrawal of our troops based on a political timetable. An untimely exit could rapidly devolve into a civil war, which would leave America's foreign policy in disarray as countries question not only America's judgement but also its perseverance."

Well, Murtha obviously has decided to contradict himself now, and sacrifice the good of his country in the process. Team USA Ties Italy

BACK IN IT

I have to give the USA soccer team credit, they played one hell of a game against the Italians to keep their hopes of advancing in the World Cup alive. The officiating was absolutely atrocious. The US got two red cards in the game, and the Italians got one. By the end of the game, the US team only had 9 players on the pitch, as opposed to ten for our opponents.

But even with 9 guys, the US was able to hang tough and keep the game tied 1-1 even though they were visibly tired as the match came to a close. Now its on to face Ghana, who stunned everyone by beating the Czechs, who creamed the US last week 3-0. For team USA to move on, the have to beat Ghana, while the Italians defeat the Czechs. The is basically the only practical way for us to get out of our group.

I think we can do it. I didnt think for a minute that we would be able to tie the Italians after our performance against the Czech Republic. But they did, even with an inept and worthless referree. Both games of importance for us are Thursday, and I cannot wait. I hope all of you who can will watch it, because we should support team USA. By the way, I dont want to get ahead of myself, but if the scenario I mentioned above works out, the US would have to play Brazil in the second round. Eeeeeeeek. But lets take care of Ghana first. GO USA!

So much for the Democrats thinking they know how to run a successful foreign policy. The House overwhelmingly rejected a call by some Dems to prematurly run away from the enemy in Iraq. The overall vote was 256-153, with 42 Democrats actually voting with the GOP. I cant tell you the last time that 42 Dems broke ranks to support the President. Amazing.

My good friend Sherrod Brown, was among those who voted for the cowardly 'cut and run' strategy. Reason number 345,141,324,132 not to vote for him. Click here to see how all the congress people voted, so you can see for yourself the names of those who are willing to sacrifice the safety of this nation. At least 256 lawmakers support the troops and know whats at stake in Iraq. Let that number be a message to war detractors in America and abroad that we will not retreat until total victory is achieved.

As if the Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines didnt run her mouth off enough 3 years ago to completly ruin her career, she still hasnt learned to just shut up. While in London, which is where she said the remarks that got her in trouble in 2003, she gave an interview to a British newspaper saying these nice words:

"A lot of pandering started going on, and you'd see soldiers and the American flag in every video. It became a sickening display of ultra-patriotism."

"The entire country may disagree with me, but I dont understand the necessity of patriotism," Mains resumes, through gritted teeth. "Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country... I dont see why people care about patriotism."

Ya know, I just things its incredible how they continue to go overseas to bash their country. This time they arent just bashing their government, but now they are doing it to every good and patriotic American. These are three of the most cowardly people in the United States of America. At least most liberals have the balls to talk sh*t in the states and are not running to Europe to do it.

I truly hope and pray that this will end their career. Because bashing the country that made you what you are is inexcusable.

I also hope the Dixie Chicks stay in Europe, because us patriotic Americans, dont want them here.

Senate Panel OK's Flag Burning Amendment

The Senate Judiciary Committee passed 11-7 an proposed amendment to the Constitution that would outlaw burning Old Glory. The Bill will now head to the Senate floor for debate and an eventual vote.

Because this is a Constitutional amendment, it must be passed by 2/3 of the entire Senate. If it passes, it would be the 28th time the Constitution will be amended. I have heard that if all 100 senators vote on this bill, they will come up one vote short of the 67 needed. Why anyone would vote against this is beyond me. To most Americans, burning the flag is not freedom of speech, its hate speech. Any a-hole who lives within the borders of this nation that burns the flag should immediately be deported as far as Im concerned. I dont care where you send them, even if they were born here. I, and most others, dont want anyone who would burn such an important symbol of this country living here.

I cant wait to see the list of Democrats who vote against this thing, because it should be the typical suspects of Kennedy, Kerry, Boxer, Biden, Feingold, and other American haters. The American people overwhelming hope this thing passes, because this law is loooooooooooooong overdue.

So the Democratic Party has released their "New Direction for America", and it is typical and hilarious. These people just cant seem to get into this century. Here is what they are focusing on to bring them back to power in November:

-Make Health Care more available

-Lower gas prices and achieve energy independence

-Help working families

-Cut college costs

-Ensure dignified retirement

-Require fiscal responsibility

This is red meat for Republicans. If you notice, there is nothing there about the two biggest issues in American right now, the war in Iraq and immigration reform. I mean are these people kidding me? These are the same worthless issues that Democrats and liberals have been harping about for 40 years. Luckily, the Republican Party is willing to tackle tough issues, whether people agree with them or not, but the liberals only care about health care and a distribution of wealth. They have no plan for Iraq. They want us to pull the troops out when things were supposedly going badly, and now that things are going good by all accounts guess what they want to do...thats right, pull the troops out.

The 'New Direction' they put forward shouldnt surprise anyone. They have no idea how to fight and win a war on terror, infact most of them cease to even believe one exists. They cannot keep this country safe, because they are against almost every anti-terror measure the Bush administration puts forth. They also cannot stop illegal immigration nor do they necessarily want to. Most liberals want open borders, because in their eyes they see future Democratic voters. So the more poor immigrants that come here the better.

DO NOT let these people get away with all of this. Obstructionism is not a plan, and the GOP must remind the American people of just how enept the Democratic Party is. If not, this country will be turned over to people like Nancy Pelosi, who will ruin everything we have achieved in the past 5 years. That cannot happen.

New SurveyUSA Poll

Ok, I saw this new poll the other day and I wasnt going to write about it. But, the more I have seen it around the internet the more its pissing me off, so now I must act. The results absolutely cannot be true. Here's they are:

Voters say they prefer Strickland over Blackwell, 53 percent to 37 percent, according to a Survey USA poll of 507 likely voters conducted this week for Cleveland's WKYC-TV Channel 3 and affiliated stations in Cincinnati and Youngstown. The poll has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

The survey also showed that in the race for the U.S. Senate, voters favor seven-term Democratic Congressman Sherrod Brown over incumbant senator and Republican Mike DeWine, 48-39 percent. Eleven percent of those surveyed said they favored anybody but them, while 2 percent said they were undecided.

Now, about the Governor's race, that could very well be true. I know that Blackwell has an uphill battle because of the scandel and whatever else, but at the same time I dont really believe he is down 17% right now. If he is, Im still confident he will gain alot of support as the campaign gets hotter toward the fall.

About the Senate poll, its straight-up malarchy. There's not an ice cubes chance in hell that an incumbant Senator is down in the polls by nine percent against a guy as liberal as Sherrod Brown in a state like Ohio. Its just not practical. I do believe this race could be close in November, but Im positive that DeWine will win. Another piece of this puzzle that doesnt make sense is that the poll says that only 2 percent of those surveyed are undecided. Trust me when I tell you that there are alot more people undecided than just 2% when the election is still 5 months away.

This one is skewed...dont believe it.

Rove Wont Be Charged

I called this one months ago. All of these allegations against Karl Rove were a bunch of BS and Im actually surprised it took this long for them to be dropped. Rove was the result of a politically motivated investigation, but now has been rightly cleared. I also believe that Scooter Libby will be cleared of everything he is accused of, because he is also just another scapegoat being charged in a crime that is nonexistant.

This is a very positive thing for all Republicans, because without Rove I really dont know what we would have done going into the elections this fall. He is the mind behind the GOP and we desperately need him to help us. This day just keeps getting better for the Bush Administration. Lets just hope and pray he gets out of Iraq alive.

Rep. Patrick Kennedy has reached a deal with prosecutors to plead guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of perscription drugs in connection for his middle-of-the-night car crash last month near the U.S. Capitol.

Two additional charges of reckless driving and failure to exhibit a driving permit will be dismissed under the plea agreement reached with prosecutors.

"As congressman Kennedy has said all along, he will take full responsibility for his actions and that is what he is doing today, "Kennedy's cheif of staff, Sean Richardson, said Tuesday.

I commend Kennedy for doing the right thing. He went to rehab and now pleads guilty, good for him, bad for Democrats.

I wish him well.

President Bush in Iraq

Reuters is reporting that Iraqi state television says President Bush has arrived in Iraq, it gave no other details.

If this is true, it is absolutely awesome. I think its really cool when he goes over there without any notice. The last time he did was on Thanksgiving of 2003, to go eat some turkey with the troops. Ill hopefully have more details later.

New CNN Poll Out About Iraq

LOOKING UP

Ahhh CNN, just when I think they have some good news they still know how to spin it. They released a new poll today about the war in Iraq. The poll shows an improvement in public opinion for the war.

The poll found 43 percent of respondents said the war is going either very or moderately well, up from 38 percent in a March poll.

Fifty-four percent said they still believe the war is going either very badly or moderately badly, down from 60 percent in March.

And 55 percent said they believe the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq of 2003 was an error -- a figure unchanged from an April survey.

To no surprise, CNN headlined this story with "Poll: Most Still Think Iraq War A Mistake." Just thought Id let ya know.

USA Loses 3-0

CZECH MATE

The US soccer team got absolutely spanked in their first round matchup in the World Cup against the Czech Republic. We had a few opportunities to score a few goals, but they pretty much blew each chance. No one on the American side stepped up, and the score speaks for itself.

Everyone said that the US had an up hill battle to begin with because of our tough grouping, but now it almost seems impossible that we will advance. Its very disappointing for a team many called the best the USA had ever put on a soccer field, but I guess its to be expected from a country where soccer is about the 6th most popular sport. I hope we can do better in the next couple games, but I am not optimistic.

THEIR AGENDA

Ok I want to show you exactly how the mainstream media is reporting the important stories of today. Its quite humerous.

Lets begin with President Bush's war summit at Camp David. The only thing the libs seem to care about is whether or not the people involved in the summit will discuss troops withdrawls. I have heard that phrase about a dozen times already this morning and its only 10:30am. Troop levels have become an obsession of the MSM over the past few years, and they just cant comprehend the logic of keeping the troops in the warzone until the job is done. I say win the war, then bring the troops home. Here's the proof.

Next is the story about the three terrorits who committed suicide at Guantanamo Bay over the weekend. I applaude their decision to end their pathtic lives, in fact I wish that every one of them would kill themselves. It would make our job much easier. From most accounts, the prisoners there are doing quite well and are treated great, so they can save every American money by hanging themselves. The media does not agree with my assessment. They hate what we do in Guantanamo, and they somehow blame the US for these suicides. Most have said that they did this out of protest and not desperation, but that isnt enough for most liberals in the media. They will do almost anything to get GITMO shutdown, which will seriously hurt the war effort and put us and our troops at risk. Here's the proof.

Im going to do this sort of thing quite often, to prove the liberal bias in the news. If you deny its there, your an idiot. Seriously. Thanks and stay tuned.

Sherrod Brown is Proud of Being a Liberal

HOW NICE

This article in the Toledo Blade shows why Sherrod Brown will lose in November. The guy is just too far left to win a statewide vote in Ohio. Its that simple.

Mr. Brown carries a more populist - Republicans derisively say "liberal"- banner in his Ohio battle with GOP incumbant Mike DeWine. He wants troops out of Iraq this year. He denounces America's free trade pacts. He criticizes Mr. DeWine's votes to repeal the estate tax and make some of President Bush's tax cuts permanent.

When Republicans rip his votes against certain military of intelligence spending, or his opposition to a federal constitutional same-sex marriage ban, Mr. Brown dismisses them with a "yeah, so?" shrug.

Its not a prevalent strategy, in Republican-leaning states or otherwise. Mr. Brown conceded as much recently, as he searched for the names of leading populists (liberals) in Congress today. "I'm not sure," Mr. Brown said, before settling on Sen. Tom Harkin (D., Iowa). "They dont all jump to mind, do they?"

Analysts and partisans say Mr. Brown's campaign themes stem from conviction and necessity: his 14-year congressional voting record would make it hard to escape them.

Mr. Dewine has largely ignored his opponent so far, but other Republicans pummel Mr. Brown almost daily with allegations of running left of the state's voters. "Ill give him credit for staying true to who he is," said John McClelland, a state GOP spokesman, "but its not going to win him an election in Ohio."

That last statement is exactly right. Brown is as liberal as they come, and barring some major political catastrophe, I just dont see him even getting close to beating DeWine.

And thank God for that.

P.S. I guess the new word is "populist" now, not liberal. I didnt get that memo.

First off, let me give you the results of the last poll. The question was,'is the media in the United States of American fair?' Well, evidentally its not, because 75% of you who voted said that it is not. That is a very large margin as far as Im concerned. But I agree with that majority, most of the media in this country does have a serious bias.

Ok now on to this weeks poll. The question for this week is should Secretary of State Ken blackwell resign his post while he is running for Governor? Many media outlets have been making a big deal out of this, and I am very curious to see what you think. This issue could plague Blackwell for the rest of the campaign, and he will probably get slammed for it if he wins, when people say he fixed the election or whatever. Democrats are famous for complaining about losing, and this just adds fuel to their pathetic fire.

So should Blackwell resign?

Ken Blackwell is getting hit by not only Democrats, but also much of the press in Ohio for not stepping down as Secretary of State during his bid to be Governor. I personally think he should step down, because if something would happen to go wrong in November with the vote, all hell will break loose and it wont benefit anyone.

Channel 19 News here in Cleveland has been all over this story, and have really been demonizing Blackwell lately. They gave Ted Strickland a pass for not showing up to an event in Columbus last week, where Blackwell did show, telling the audience it wasnt that big of deal. Im not exactly sure why the bias is there, but it is absolutely evident.

I hope that Blackwell will do the right thing and step down, but I doubt he will. But again, he should for the sake of us all because it is a conflict of interests.

Ohio Network Pulls Moveon.org Ad

KUDOS TO THEM

Here is the story:

A TV station and a cable network are refusing to run an ad sponsored by a liberal activist group that targets Republican U.S. Rep. Deborah Pryce because of question about material the group provided to back up the ad's claims.

The group Moveon.org is spending $300,000 on ads targeting Pryce and other lawmakers. The ads say they accepted thousands of dollars in donations from defense contractor and then "opposed penalites like halliburton who overcharged the military in Iraq."

Ohhh ok, so basically they are accusing her of doing the same thing that Harry Reid actually did do by taking free boxing tickets and then lobbying for the organization that gave them to him. What a bunch of freakin hypocrits these people are. But Im just glad this station took the action it did, cause we dont want that crap running on Ohio's airwaves.

Zarqawi Dead

DETAILS

Ok I have been listening to the news coverage on Zarqawi's death, and I want to pass along exactly what took place to kill the SOB. Evidentally we had special forces in the area following on of Zarqawi's most trusted aides. After we saw this aide go into a safe house in a town just north of Baghdad, the forces pretty much knew that Zarqawi was going to be there, so the special forces relayed the into to central command who ordered two F-16's to go and take them out.

The planes dropped a single 500lb bomb on the house, then decided to drop another one to make sure the target was eliminate. Once the house was completely destroyed, Iraqi forces and police were the first to arrive at the scene, and took out the bodies of six people. Zarqawi was taken by US forces and positively identified by physical characteristics and also a finger print analysis. The military will be doing a DNA test on him, with the results expected withing the next 24 hours. Security forces found lots of Intel in the house where Zarqawi was killed, and 17 subsequent raids and military operations have been conducted around Baghdad because of it, and the General who spoke of this news said we have found a 'treasure trove' of important information.

I saw this on Michelle Malkins blog and I just had to laugh. Not the kind of laugh when something is funny, more of the type of laugh when you do when you hear something absolutely pathetic. The U.N. is very upset that most Americans have found out the truth, ya know, they they are a basically inept institution with corrupt leaders. OOps, our bad. Here it is in their own words:

In a highly unusual instance of a United Nations official singling out an individual country for criticism, Mr. Malloch Brown said that although the United States was constructively engaged with the United Nations in many areas, the American public was shielded from knowledge of that by Washington's tolerance of what he called "too much unchecked U.N.-bashing and stereotyping.

"Much of the public discourse that reaches the U.S. heartland has been largely abandoned to its loudest detractors such as Rush Limbaugh and Fox News," he said.

Hahaha. I mean they have got to be kidding me. Now I am no expert on this type of thing, but I feel that this problem of the U.N. not feeling adequate amongst Americans is easily solvable, they just need to DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE INTERNATIONALLY AND STOP BITCHIN ABOUT EVERYTHING THE UNITED STATES DOES AND SAYS.

Bilbray Wins in Cali

A PROMISING SIGN FOR NOVEMBER

In the only election that actually put somebody in congress yesterday, Republican Brian Bilbray defeated his Democratic counterpart 49% to 45%. The media was making a huge deal about this race because this is a very Republican District. It is the district that Duke Cunningham had to resign in because of his taking bribes, now hes in jail.

This race just proves to me that the GOP does have momentum going into the fall, and you cannot trust the media when it comes to polling because they had this race at a dead heat. Not to mention that Bilbray had a third party candidate taking votes from him also. But luckily he still won, because if he would have last the mainstream media would have had a freakin field day with this.

I am becoming more optomistic.

62 Years Ago Today

REMEMBERING D-DAY

Today we remember the amazing amount of courage that the Greatest Generation showed when they invaded Normandy on June 6th, 1944. Thousands died within a matter of hours, but their sacrifice was worth it as D-Day ended up being the turning point in World War II.

This type of attack would never be possible today, as even a single military death is reason enough for many in this country to prove the cause is not worth fighting for. But my grandparents generation new different, and they were willing to do whatever it took to win the war. I know that mentality seems alien in 2006, but that was the way it was. Mankind will always be in debt to those brave men who faught and died that day, as the world would be a very different place today if they had failed.

God Bless all WWII vets.

Shake-up in the Foltin Campaign

CAMPAIGN MANAGER OUT

From Cleveland.com:

Lorain Mayor Craig Foltin is without a campaign manager in his bid to get elected to Congress.

Ira Treuhaft, who was Foltin's campaign manager for about two months, is leaving Ohio and going home to New York City. Treuhaft, 27, said he and Foltin agreed that it would be best if Treuhaft no longer continued as campaign manager.

"I have to go home to the New York area to pursue other opportunities at this point, "Treuhaft said. "Im confident the campaign is in great shape."

Foltin, a Republican, is seeking election to the 13th congressional district seat now held by Rep. Sherrod Brown, who is not seeking re-election. Foltin said Treuhaft parted on good terms.

"He's a good guy," Foltin said. The mayor said he expects to hire a new campaign manager by the end of the week.

Ok, it is never a good sign for any campaign to have a problem like this in June. Obviously, having to part with a campaign manager is very troubling, as he is in charge of everything. I hope that Foltin can get things together, because this is bad time for a change like this. I have a source in the campaign that said Foltin has already hired a new campaign manager, but I was unable to get the man's name. Hopefully, the campaign can continue on without much of a problem, because Foltin has a great shot to pick up a seat for the GOP in November.
